I’ve had every vacuum cleaner going but this is the one I’ve kept. Great suction, the power pack slides off for charging, has three power levels but the best bit is it stands up by itself! Honestly I can’t praise it enough. Also the dust container opens at both ends and empties really well. I bought it expecting to return it but its a keeper!

I went through about four and have settled on a Henry Quick. It just works!

The scent pods are horrible but they are not mandatory.

HexInductionHour · 26/09/2026 07:03

Ooooh. That’s 2 Henrys, ! Can you get unscented pods ?

Venice93 · 26/09/2026 07:06

I have a Henry stick after similar number of years with a Dyson. I don’t use the scent pods. I really like it and it works much better than my old Dyson. It has bags, though, and they are small. On balance worth it.

LateMumma · 26/09/2026 07:28

I've got a Levoit, which I rate

RampantIvy · 26/09/2026 07:59

Samsung. The top three rated by Which? cordless vacuums are Samsung, and 6 out of their top ten are Samsung.

I have a Samsung and it is brilliant.

HexInductionHour · 26/09/2026 13:52

@RampantIvy thank you. They have the Jet 60 Turbo on offer at £219 at the moment, (£90 off possibly the entry level model) but has good reviews, Do you know anything about this model please.

I'll get back to you.

HexInductionHour · 26/09/2026 14:57

@RampantIvy thanks please don’t go to any trouble ! I’ve done a spot of research, it’s recently discontinued model, hence the reduction, but still in stock at some places. I must say it looks good, and I rate Samsung products. Thank you Ivy

RampantIvy · 26/09/2026 15:28

@HexInductionHour Back now. I was doing a spot of gardening. I have the Samsung Jet 95 Pro and am very impressed with it. It is also a Which? Best Buy.

I bought it because DD has a Samsung cordless vacuum, but I can't remember which model. It could well be the Jet 60. Regardless, the Jet 60 has good reviews and it is very lightweight so it sounds like a bargain.

I like my Vax blade but I’ve heard the Henry is great

LPAmadness · 26/09/2026 16:16

Are you sure yours is dying OP.

Mine is as old as the hills and everytime I think it is dying I just buy the relevant spares. One motor, one battery pack and a motorised brush later it is still as good as new. Spares are available on the Dyson site and are a doddle to fit.

HexInductionHour · 26/09/2026 16:43

@LPAmadness im not OP but my Dyson animal v8 is also dying. I have bought a new battery pack maybe 18 months ago and also had to buy a new charging plug as that failed, and it’s still not holding the charge anymore, the spares are expensive so I think it’s time to move on and it won’t be another Dyson I don’t think they are value for money.
ETA the mini motorised brush head also broke !

Thekormachameleon · 26/09/2026 16:44

i’ve had shark and dyson and now swear by the henry quick

I’ve already replaced the brush head. It seems to be working again now. I’ll have to see about replacing the battery.
