I wasn't sure what the correct topic was put this in, but does anyone know anything about PCs?
I used to know a lot back in 2007/2008. I even built a PC once. I wouldn't know where to start these days. I moved onto a laptop when the PC died and then the laptop broke and I've just used my phone for the last 10 years.
I've got one child in their second year at high school and another starting next year and I think it's time to get them a PC but I haven't got a clue.
They will want to edit videos, I've got one that's really into design and wants a 3d printer and they will want to play games such as Stray or Hogwarts Legacy.
Budget of 1.2k, the cheaper the better obviously but I want something that will still be decent in a couple of years.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know self build is cheaper but I don't think I want the hassle.
I don't even know where to go. I don't trust PC world not to rip me off after bad dealings with them in the past.
