I need your best birthday ideas for an 11 year old girl who won't choose anything

So my DN who lives with me is turning 11 in a few days.
We've been encouraging her to pick some presents but she isn't sure what she wants.
She likes reading but has a fair few books already.
Shes not into skincare/makeup/sports or gaming really.
She will craft a little bit but she has poor motor skills so anything her age is too hard and she loses interest and she is very self-conscious so anything for younger kids would upset her.
She likes blind boxes but gets sad if the one she wants isn't in there so I wouldnt want to get loads of those.

She has a tablet but weve just had a really good few weeks of her limiting screentime so I don't want to add anything like a kindle when we've made so much progress

She showed interest in a sylvainian families family and house but changed her mind because she said it might be babyish and it costs too much. Part of me is wondering if we still get it but I'm not sure.

So far she has chosen 2 books which we have asked family to buy her.
When asked what she wants she says she doesn't want us to buy her anything because we have already given her and her siblings a lot the last few months.
Which is lovely of her but we really want to get her some gifts

Her younger sister had a birthday a few weeks ago and we had completely the opposite problem of getting her to narrow it down cause she wanted everything.
She also had a big party and had lots of presents from school friends. Plus around 5 gifts from other family members.

DN wont have that because she wont be having a big party just a couple of friends for a day out and sleepover. So I don't want her to look back and think her sister got loads of stuff and she got nothing.

Lego? sort of crafty and also good for fine motor skills
would she like tickets to something or an experience day type thing?
clothes, trainers, PJs, mobile, headphones, book vouchers, things for her bedroom…..

Polaroid camera. My kids love theirs. If she likes books look at the Mina Lima editions which are beautiful...especially Harry Potter. One of the kids Alexa's. Does she like gardening. My 11 year old loves growing things in an indoor terrarium in her room.

An Oodie (doesn’t have to be the branded one)
Game such as P for Pizza
“Grown up” type art set, like one of those little suitcase type ones with fold out compartments with good quality felt tips, water colour paint palette etc
A jellycat cuddly toy? Amuseables one
Nail art kit
Diamond art set
Does she have a scooter? My DD and friends scooted to school at that age

If she isn't so much into physical gifts would she like an experience? Tickets to something like the theatre or concert, a shopping trip, a spa trip just the 2 of you? A day at a water park, safari park or theme park maybe? And then pick up a couple of books and some chocolate for her to open?

Thank you all the great suggestions so far.

Tickets for something might be good I'm not sure what she would like but I might have a look at what on locally and let her pick something.

So many good ideas already!

Loom bands? My DD of around the same age is keen, but can also be done by younger kids.

Would she like a bath bomb or shower jelly from LUSH? It’s not makeup as such but is fun.

If she’s expressed interest in Sylvanians I’d be tempted to get a couple of their blind bags of babies and maybe one of the triplet sets with like a buggy? Then could mix and match.

My daughter loves fancy stationery like notebooks, highlighters etc and that can be grown up and still fun.

Bless her that she doesn’t want anything! Do you think she’d like a toy shop voucher in case she is worried about being demanding, then she HAS to spend it?

My grandaughter loved playmobil at that age , especially the horse ones , but there are loads available . They can build them , then play them after ,

Clothes? You could take her out to choose a new outfit. Or lounge wear, an oodie, cosy PJs etc.
Some simple jewellery like a gold or silver chain and chain bracelet?
Things for her bedroom? A fleece blanket, cushions, a lamp, a framed print of some band or animal she loves or place she wants to visit.

roller skates.

tickets to see the touring National Theatre of Ballet shows. My 11 year old and I adored it. She could have the book on the day to read before she goes.

Would the lego botanical range (flowers) be of any interest? They also do a lot of 3 in one sets which are very varied. What about audio books?

Smartiepants79 · Today 22:10

Jelly cats? Expensive but hugely popular with her age range.

Marquee2go · Today 22:11

Small picture frames, a handbag or belt bag ( River Island popular here), Lego happy plants, sharing bags of Maltesers or similar treats, cinema tickets, a Jellycat bunny or amuseable, book voucher, posca pens, a branded hoodie, ugg style slippers.

elrider · Today 22:12

How about a musical instrument like a keyboard or electric drums (to use with headphones)?

Or slime making kits, baking kits and/or kids recipe books, CD player and CDs, bedroom decor like pictures, LED light strips round the bed or fairy lights to hang up, a little handbag, some kids roll on perfume, nail stickers, giant Squishmallow?

Bonsaibaby · Today 22:13

Dd 10 wanted jellycat, mini verse beauty ball set, botanical Lego, clothes (wide joggers and a denim shirt) converse, tap shoes, cards for Audio player, small Stanley style cup, pjs, fluffy hoodie, stationery
