Daughter overwhelmed at high school

I did not know where to out this so apologies if its in the wrong place.

I have one daughter who is very academic and studious and very organised, shes not needed any help or input from me to do with education and gets top grades seemingly easily.

My youngest daughter although she is capable of achieving high grades and has in the past with my help, she cannot organise or remember anything and isnt as 'into' education.
She may have Adhd like her dad but he isnt in the picture anymore.
She came to me earlier sobbing and crying and very overwhelmed about homework as she says she keeps panicking about when its due in. She is fining year 7 difficult as its so different to primary and so many things to remember and moving from classroom to classroom and making new friends has been hard for her as shes not loud and quite shy.
It absolutely broke my heart to see her like this as she usually just takes things on the chin and nothing seems to bother her.
How can I help her with this? Im very much like me older girl so this is all new to me

Any tips for homework reminders?
Or to help her feel more together?

Do they have an app for homework? Or a planner? Ideally there should be something that you can sit down together to look at and plan what she’s going to do when to make sure she hits the deadlines.

Does her school run any kind of homework club where she can stay a bit later to get some done u disturbed and with a teacher available for questions?

Id try to make a routine where after a snack and a drink someone sits with her to talk about what’s been set, when its due and then agree what is going to be done tonight and what can wait until later or the weekend

The do have an app, they use Teams so im not sure why she was so upset and panicking. But maybe as its not there right in front of her? I could get her to write it all down on paper perhaps so its there on the fridge for her to see?
I will also try the sitting down and talking through things with her.

I feel like im so bad at this because like I said my other child is so like me and so I know what they want and need from me but youngest is so different..I dont want know how to make it better for her
