Argos order showing Evri tracking only after paying for delivery

i ordered a phone case from argos on monday for delivery tomorrow, it was showing in stock in my local store and for delivery, got email saying it is being delivered by evri from a store nowhere near me and its saying 'we're expecting it' it's not changed from that status since tuesday. it's supposed to be here tomorrow, i paid argos £4.95 for delivery.

has this happened to anyone else? every time i have ever ordered from argos it came in an argos van, i had no idea they also used evri?

I've had many things delivered via evri when purchasing from Argos. Have had a few issues with Argos in general but it should arrive, Evri can often be quite quick in the processing of parcels (in some cases), so it could come tomorrow.

However, given the tracking, in the likely event that it doesn't come tomorrow, you can use the live chat on Argos website to contact customer services for a delivery fee refund. I've done this a few times and they have always obliged where delivery has been missed. Ain't no way I'm paying a fiver delivery for something not to come on the day it was scheduled.
