Just wondering if clout cover will invalidated? My grandad has fallen and fractured his hip. We are in Greece.he was taken by ambulance to what we now realise is a private hospital. There is a public hospital but we are now pretty stuck here as they are about to do surgery
looking at the insurance it clearly says treatment should be in a public hospital if one is available.
we won’t be covered will we?
I did get an EHIC for him but even that seems to be that a public hospital is the first choice if available.
any experience? Advice
i I don’t think we can move him now.
he has some savings hopefully enough

Give the insurers a ring to ask their advice.

You're supposed to let them know anyway as there has been an incident and your DGD needs help.
Insurers might pay or arrange something else.
You will also need help to arrange to get him home too.

Yes we have and the hospital is liaising with the insurance. They won’t give any advice until they have seen and read his gp records. It was me who arranged the ( very expensive) insurance so I’m absolutely freaking out that there will be things I’ve accidentally missed telling them. So stressful
