hi there- I’m due in April with my second and I’m quite excited but very scared. Does anyone have any tips of how to cope? I had really bad PTSD from my last post partum period as I didn’t have any help. We are going to try and get a post partum doula for 6 weeks but I’m wondering if there’s other things anyone can think of or great tips that they’ve discovered. Thank you so much in advance.

Have you managed to unpick why it was so traumatic last time? When you say no help, do you mean no family help? Or useless partner? Or just feeling that you were struggling?
Two kids are definitely greater than the sum of their parts. What is the age gap? Will you have a baby and a toddler home at the same time?

Really bad PTSD from post partum?

I think you'd need to clearly identify what was so bad it gave you PTSD then put everything in place that you possibly can to avoid it.
