How can I stop a cone rubbing my dog's neck?

So my German shepherd has had sores over her body that's she's been licking. The vet has given medical wash for her. I have had to use a cone to stop her licking. But it was rubbing on her neck/ chest area and now she has a horrible sore. The cone needs to be quite big because her nose is long and she can still reach areas. I have seen one attached to inflatable ring that go round her neck but they look like she could easily reach areas.

Any ideas how she can wear a cone without it making her neck sore?

You can get a sort of onesie to dress dogs in when they’ve had an operation, to stop them worrying at their stitches. I wonder if that would work.

Or a donut?

I found the inflatable one useless on my lurcher, long neck meant he could still reach around.

Is the cone attached to her collar? Maybe a different collar to attach it to would give a better fit?

I tried that she can still reach areas. Even the bits covered she still used her teeth and made herself bleed then the material stuff to it and made it even worse.

Ribbon glued to the bit that goes round her neck so it slides a bit?

Never thought of that. I will try and find one that can attach to a collar. Thanks 😊
