I link to my booking page and website all the time...this is going to really affect me if this is rolled out! Cheapest optuon £33 per month!!!! Currently testing stage.

Anyone else worried about this?

I can see you’ve had no replies, so this is me saying I don’t understand what you mean by your booking page etc. I suspect if it was relevant to me then I’d understand what you mean, so here’s a bump for your thread anyway.

I run classes and link to my booking platform

Same, I run classes and I have to direct people to my profile to book. It’s an insane process to pay per month, Meta obviously thinks little businesses like ours are on a constant national campaign lol

Between that, and the local community page admin twats, small businesses are set up to lose

Crispautumnday · 23/09/2026 23:39

I've seen someone else who runs a small business saying similar.
I don't know much more than sorry but I can see she was pretty devastated

But if I am interested in a FB post I will go and look up the website.

KindlySurfiingPlatypus · 23/09/2026 23:41

Ok so that seems reasonable to me. Small-scale operators can post two links a month for free. If you need more than that you pay the business who is helping you link to customers. This is normal. There's no obligation to use Meta's services.

UncannyToad · 23/09/2026 23:59

Put the link in the first comment - no problem then. It’s been like this a few months. I mean, you can still put your link in the main post, but meta won’t ‘actively’ show your post to people. Apparently.

PumpkinSpicedFattie · 24/09/2026 00:19

I’m getting around it with the link in the first comment. In fact it’s good practice anyway as links in the main post means Meta stops people seeing your posts as much. You could also look into something like ManyChat which has a free plan, where they’d comment ‘BOOK’ or similar and ManyChat auto messages them the link

In fairness, I avoid using any community pages that are filled with business adverts. I want to use them to find out local information from other people not to be bombarded with adverts

I believe this is also being limited.

Nutmuncher · 24/09/2026 09:09

Is think that’s a steal if you’re using it as a means to get business, no doubt it would be in your best interests to have a professional content package if you find it a useful tool already.

beaglescurleduplikebagels · 24/09/2026 09:57

Just put a pinned post on your page with your booking link and refer people to that.

Yeah but it doesnt hyperlink in comments so parents will need to copy and paste link into browser

It does for me. I can’t remember if I have to include all the http and www or not but play around with it to see which one works
