I've signed up to do an outdoor therapy session

I saw a thing advertised that is a walk in the countryside, a light lunch and a crafting project. All things I enjoy but rarely seem to actually do, so thought I'd sign up.

Now I have the full details, I have realised it's run by a therapist specialising in art therapy.

Afaik, I don't need any therapy, it just sounds like a pleasant way to spend a day. Should I still go?

I would. Sounds like a nice day out and you can just swerve anything too personal.

Definitely go it will be lovely! It will be about self care not formal therapy

Everyone can benefit from therapy. Its only because the nhs is so shocking that in this country you have to be seriously mentally ill to access it, it makes it seem a bigger deal then it is.

This. You could always be open about misunderstanding the purpose of the day, but you do say it's something you enjoy but rarely do so you can treat it as doing something just for you, where you can concentrate on just the art and the walk and take a break from day to day pressures of life.

It could also give you ideas about art projects and/or walks you want to do and the incentive to actually starting to do them.
