Small rant and need support

I have an illness that can affect many parts of the body.I also have quite bad MH and autism. There is a scan every 5 years so need new referral by GP. I am already at the hospital for other things but they won’t internally referral.

I managed to do online appointment request what I needed and who I already see. Response - the GP has looked at this and notes that I was already under the service - GP meant other specialist

wrote again - apologised I was not clear set it all out again. Got response - the gp has looked at you request, you have already been referred and gave the details of the other specialist for completely different part of the body. (Neurology for my epilepsy I need a lung scan!)

I’m crying 😢 It’s so hard keeping everything together with different illnesses. I thought I was so clear.
It may seem pathetic but I’m i don’t have real life support. It’s big when I manage to contact beyond regular repeat prescriptions so proud I did it but feeling low. I think I’ll try the hospital.

Aww OP, I don’t have any advice im afraid but didn’t want to read and run. That sounds very hard for you.
maybe try PALS for some extra support?

I'm so sorry. I also have epilepsy as well as other chronic conditions and it is exhausting.

That sounds so incredibly frustrating OP. Sometimes you just end up in an endless loop with people because they apparently can't read.

Can you bear to email them one more time but be very blunt? That might get the message through!

Call the surgery and ask to speak to the practice manager and explain it clearly to them. Messages can get muddled easily
