Any recommendations?

I’ve done Clitheroe and Mold and both were great 😊

Possibly Stoke-On-Trent. I think there are the giant warehouse type ones there too. Good luck!

Is Uppermill too far? On the Yorkshire side of Oldham (but definitely not actually in Yorkshire for the pedants).

LivingDeadGirlUK · 18/09/2026 15:08

Stockport has a good selection.

RocknrollRhonda · 18/09/2026 15:15

Oswestry

Sale has a run of good charity shops, Alderley Edge did but I'm not sure it still does (a quick look on Google maps street view will confirm for you though!). Knutsford same.

You could do Nantwich and Sandbach on the same day, they’re both pretty good. Give Crewe a miss obviously!

PumpkinSpicedFattie · 18/09/2026 16:57

Okay it’s an hour a half ish depending on where you’re leaving from BUT Cleveleys near Blackpool. You start at the top of the road and just walk down one side to all the charity shops then back up the other side. It’s bliss.

Runcorn and Stockton Heath. Is it for something particular?
SH isn’t the cheapest but great for fancy things!

FaintlyMacabre · 18/09/2026 18:17

Wilmslow/Alderley Edge- I just got a Brora cashmere cardigan for £10!

I think I mean Cleveleys not clitheroe! Did there early in the year and loved it! My regulars are Knutsford, Warrington, Northwich, frodsham is great, also middlewich and I did Nantwich last Sunday and got some great stuff! Thanks for all of the suggestions I’m definetely going to visit a few 😁

The Wirral has lots, West Kirby, Hoylake, Heswell etc

User573359 · 19/09/2026 07:19

I would say Wirral as well, Moreton has about 6 close together, Birkenhead town centre has 6 or 7, Liscard town centre has about 6, here are several in Hoylake and West Kirby and others dotted about in-between and it's easy to do all of those in a day if you are in a car.

My grandmother used to take herself off for days out to 'posh' places as they get 'better' donations.

Southport, Harrogate and bit further Oxford.
