Want to play a game of "guess which Reddit sub I was banned from"?

This was after I gave an half arsed appeal, thinking that the MOD would see it as so. Some MODS take their roles a little too serious. This is the response:

Sorry, Rule 1 and the pinned post make it clear, personal opinions are only appropriate on specifically flaired posts. Your appeal cannot be approved, as even now you excuse your comments rather than show understanding or accountability, so you cannot be trusted to change how you engage in the future. Time to move along.

Oh God… a subReddit where you aren’t allowed to give personal opinions… um, I’ll go with something about walking the Camino de Santiago, eczema advice (or similar medical niche) or bitcoin investing.

I was recently banned from a lesbian sub for saying that I was unlikely to fancy natal men.

Knitting?

Missey85 · 17/09/2026 05:50

I'm banned from am I the arsehole 😂 also the vegan Reddit 😊

Catullus5 · 17/09/2026 06:03

Make it like Twenty Questions: you may only give yes or no answers.

OfAllThePlaces · 17/09/2026 09:56

Roast dinners! All I said was I don't like lamb. Bonkers.

Huh? Surely nearly every post online is an opinion?

SunshineHello · 17/09/2026 10:31

Oh I was permanently banned from reddit years ago for the crime of saying you couldn’t literally change sex.

They are quite ban happy over there.

They are not being unreasonable, because you are wrong. Roast lamb is the food of the gods. I think you should be banned from the whole Internet. 😜

DramaAlpaca · 17/09/2026 10:42

Banned from r/roastdinners! That's ridiculous. I'm with you on not liking lamb.

I got a permanent ban from r/namenerds for being too blunt.

I got a telling off on r/handbags too, for being too honest with my opinion of a frankly horrible bag.

BeasKnee · 17/09/2026 10:45

Was it a photo of a roast dinner someone had made so it was taken as a personal attack? Struggling to find what offense might be caused by offering your opinion on that.

BeasKnee · 17/09/2026 10:52

I've just read the pinned message at the top of that reddit sub. It's fascinating. Any personal opinions are boring apparently. So it's just photos and people saying variations of 'looks delicious' after them. Thrilling stuff.

Moistcottonchafers · 17/09/2026 11:20

I was banned from a UK sub for discussing airport passport queue changes from my local airport post Brexit. Apparently it was too political to use the terminology "post Brexit". 🤣

OfAllThePlaces · 17/09/2026 11:29

@BeasKnee I know right!

Who even reads the rules on each sub they join? Maybe on serious subs, but a random crap one, no.
