Scruffy one-eared Portuguese cat tax. She was sitting in the shade outside the kitchen door of an excellent seafood restaurant and they’d put water out for her so I think she was happy.

@dontcallmelen thank you, still not got dates but hoping to be in new house at beginning of October, pets probably will get packed or donated if they sit still long enough as I am in chaos here.

I understand that, but the Swedes and the Dutch seem to be applying the WA far more rigidly than other countries.

Andy Burnham said one of his greatest regrets was that his dad didn’t quite understand that his son had made it to Number 10.

He has cancelled all engagements for today.

Sad news indeed for the Burnham family. It is indeed always a shock when the inevitable happens. Always.

I imagine the Burnham family has very mixed feelings today. I know I did under the same circumstances. It’s very tough for him so soon after taking on the poison chalice.

Very sad news for the Burnham family. And of course they are having to go through it in the public eye. If he was still Mayor of Manchester this wouldn't be on the news and they would be able to grieve in private.

^Very sad to hear about the death of Andy Burnham’s dad. It sounds like they had a very close relationship.
