Please can I have recommendations for a Chinese restaurant in London?

Wanting to have a lovely meal to celebrate a big birthday, with great food and nice surroundings/atmosphere, good service etc but not excessively pricey.

Family all staying fairly centrally (Blackfriars).

Thank you!

Just go to China Town - Lisle Street/Gerrard St, just up from Leicester Square - and have a wander round till you find one you like the look of. There are loads and loads to choose from, and everyone will have their own favourite.

Imperial China and Four Seasons are good.

Thanks @BIWI - there will be 7 of us so I was worried we’d need to book. And we don’t know London at all! Will check those out too.

Go to the eight on Shaftesbury avenue if you want authentic Chinese. Great food. You need to book,

What's the budget ? Other Chinese are the blue room , a wong ,china tang , hakkasan , and Hutong I'm sure many more these are more high end in very smart dining room

I know somewhere but it is very authentic, can you use chop sticks and do you have any understanding of the Chinese language?

I would just head to china town and see what takes your fancy. If somewhere needs 20-30 mins to fit you in there is plenty going on around you whilst you wait.

Yes and no!

Open to suggestions :-)
