What has made you properly belly laugh recently?

I’ve been watching Absolutely Fabulous on i player. I don’t think I ever watched it regularly when it was first on telly. It’s been making me laugh a lot, but I proper belly laughed for ages at the end of the last episode of series three, still smiling now thinking about it.

💐 @LittleEsme i am sorry to hear that.

Dp and I went to see Michael Spicer live at the weekend and although it was maybe more loud giggling than belly laughing, it was good. It was the first night of his tour and maybe still a bit rough round the edges but tbh I like it when live shows aren’t too perfect.

Everything Everywhere All At Once. It's a truly amazing film.

My cat makes me laugh several times a day; he's the most adorable idiot you could imagine.
Teach You a Lesson on Netflix, it handles a very serious subject with moments of absolute farce. I loved it.

I discovered Leroy Brito recently.
He really tickles my funny bone.
i do wonder if I relate because I live in South East Wales.

oh and American comedian Jeff Acuri, I would be scared to see him live in case he picked on me!

My favourite ever comedy moments are from Car Share, Dogging and HotStepper.

Thanks to those that have mentioned that Stuart saves the universe is good. I’ve been holding off watching it as I love TBBT. I’m glad Bert is in it, he was one of my favourite characters.

My all time favourite is that YouTube video showing a lady in a strapless black dress climbing in her window (and her friend’s reaction on the audio).
Edited to say, if you haven’t seen it, please look it up, it’s so funny.

At my sisters and my youngest was asking her what unusual foods she has eaten.. she’s had shark, kangaroo, snails etc so was telling him and cos he’s only 8 he replied asking if she’d had “cow manure soup” thinking he was being funny but she misheard him and repeated it back all exotic “camanyur soup? Ooh no what’s that?” And it was so funny her unintentionally being all pretentious sounding until my 8 year old laughing said “cow poo soup!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I was listening to my son read to me the other day, he asked me what a word was and I told him to sound it out. He re-read the sentence replacing the word he was unsure of with 'sound it out'. It was proper banter for a just turned 6yo and I thought it was hilarious! Tickled me for ages afterwards 🤣🤣🤣

The lyrics to ‘Y Viva España’ by Sylvia.

My son’s staying with us for a few weeks while his flat has some repairs. The banter between him and his younger sister has been hilarious. He’s come in today wearing some new boots and she’s just asked him if he got them on prescription.

The Comedy about Spies play in London. Some fabulous farcical set pieces.

I love the Mischief peeps! I can watch them all endlessly.. especially the Christmas ones. V envious of you seeing the show. 😁

That really made me laugh!

Colin from accounts made me laugh out loud in the first few minutes of episode one (when you realise the student doctor is there). I never laugh at stuff!

dandelionandbirdcock · 08/09/2026 07:54

Was just coming on to say the same thing @lordbaddinghamit was properly funny. The other series were too, to be fair. Also I always laugh at Stath Lets Flats when he keeps falling asleep because he was thinking all night about the girl he had a new crush on. So funny!

Dog escaping her harness and whilst she runs up the field one way the lead retracts towards me - cartoon style - sans dog 😂

Luckily she has excellent recall!

I’m currently reading the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and Tom Gates books to my DS at bedtimes and they frequently make us both laugh out loud. In particular the character name Fregley in the Wimpy Kid books just really tickled me and every time I had to say it I would struggle to keep reading because we were both laughing so much.
Taskmaster also really makes me laugh.

Theunamedcat · 09/09/2026 19:27

Conversation with DS this morning he made me jump and I laughed in 'fear' I was saying what a truly ridiculous reaction it was what if someone tried pointing a gun at me and I fell about laughing which of course made us laugh harder 😆

I ordered a new gearstick knob (steady) online, and I got notifications saying things like “your knob is with the courier” and “your knob is out for delivery”.

I was HOWLING because I’m very juvenile.

Sadly, my knob wasn’t too big for my letterbox, so they didn’t have to message to say they’d left my knob in a safe place. Or with a neighbour.
