inspired by a relative who always asks this at the end of a meeting/phone call.

I found my amarylis 'pup' did survive the summer and is now shooting out leaves and a flower spike.

my teens are cooking dinner tonight. I'm happy they are transitioning into nice adults.

I went for a little walk at dusk with my 16 yr old and he took a picture of the sunset over our town. Then when we got home he said it would be nice to have some photos of our town up in the house.

I just felt happy that he likes where we live. I like it too.

Now that the evenings are darker, my living room with the little lamps on. It looks so cosy and homely.

The joy my DD(10) is getting from learning to sew and make things for her friends

The thought of putting the wood burner on soon (and even better if i can get a new (to me) one fitted that my sweep is selling, much more modern than the one I inherited with the house

Not having to deal with anything as in DWP and my disabled wife's employer.
Empty head for a change.

My son went into school for the third day in a row. He started year 8 on Tuesday and last year had a full on breakdown due to undiagnosed autism leading to emotionally based school avoidance (we had no idea as he’d masked and managed so well in primary school) now he’s on a part time timetable and is able to attend high school with adjustments.

It’s not ideal as he is missing some lessons but in January he couldn’t even go in the car past the school without having a panic attack. He’s come so far and although I was dreading him going back on Tuesday, he’s been brilliant this week (albeit with the slight wobble here and there) and I’m so proud of him. We’ve got a long way to go but at least there is some hope and he’s happy.

Listening to and watching my 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend play a daft guessing game on the sofa earlier. I’m going to miss them when they head back to uni at the weekend.

Today I looked in the mirror and realised that after nearly eight years, I am finally myself again.
I had a major depressive episode. It came on slowly when I was ttc and then everything imploded once I’d given birth. Then COVID happened.
It has been a long road, lots of steps forward then back then forward.
On Monday I am going back to college to study something I’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t because of my mental illness. I was at the park with dc this afternoon and realised I’m surrounded by friends and community that have managed to build up over the past few years.
But for some reason, it was the fact that I did a cat eye with eyeliner for the first time in since pre breakdown that has made me recognise myself lol. I rarely used to be seen without it but it went out the window.
I can’t believe I survived it all tbh.

My son who struggled to attend school due to unmet needs and battled with anxiety, loneliness and confidence has just completed his first week at college
A huge step for him. So proud!

I finally got round to watching the Prog Rock Prom on i-player. My era of music and I absolutely loved it. Genesis, ELP (with Carl Palmer himself on drums), King Crimson, Supertramp, Yes etc etc. I have a load of LPs from the 70s and a record player - why am I not listening to them?! My autumn and winter evenings are sorted Grin

My lovely bf has offered to pay for my wli so I can stay on them and afford to take my ds on holiday next year, Ive finally figured out what to get said ds for his 13th birthday in a couple of weeks, and since cancelling a load of subscriptions I wasn't using I might not actually go into my overdraft this month

a relative with dodgy kidneys was able to drop one dialysis session a week! they are this || close to be taken off the transplant list as it seems that one of the kidneys improved unexpectedly.

I'm well
No major health problems today. The weather's good and I've been out this morning watching sport.
