What household chores do you dislike doing most?

What are your pet hates when doing chores around the house ?

Hate peeling potatoes but weirdly love grating cheese .

Hate when you take out the washing from the machine and find you've left a tissue in a pocket and it's all over the clothes ( is that my fault for not checking or theirs for leaving one in ?
Cleaning windows.

Cleaning skirting boards .

Taking out the rubbish

I'm sure I'll agree with a load of yours as well .

Cleaning the fridges. Detest it with passions. So the deal is I do the bogs and husband does the fridges. I don't mind bogs.

The same here!

Scooping the litter trays, which is unfortunate as it's a twice daily necessity.

Putting laundry away. Not so bad now ds does his own

Cleaning the hair out of the plughole

Hand washing the dishes that can't go in the dishwasher (a few wooden bowls, some delicate glassware, pans that don't fit, my good knives etc)

Taking the bin bags to the wheelie bins. This is also now dss job (he's nearly 13 and bigger than me so can do it more easily than me now anyway)

I'm not too bothered by the rest

hated hoovering with carpal tunnel and a dodgy hip used to kill me. solution moved to a bungalow and bought a cordless Shark. its not a pet one but the amount of hair it picked up from the dog was amazing
used to hate duvet changing used to have to lie down after it! now i have coverless duvets just whisk off the bed into the washing machine then put out on the line or pop over the kitchen door voila! do not dread bed changing now
if i am left to do things when i feel well enough its not too bad but oven cleaning is horrible, also fridge cleaning out and sorting out rubbish ie putting it in recycle and non recycle the list keeps changing and confuses me. not to mention standing in the rain dithering around which bin is not my fave occupation

Emptying the dishwasher. Can’t explain why but it feels soul destroying.

DH has emptied it nearly every morning for twenty years because he knows I hate doing it. ❤️

Hate changing bedsheets and taking the rubbish out. Love cooking, don't mind washing dishes (but I have a machine) and ironing, but don't like like that it takes a long time.

Cleaning the shower thankless task . Ditto the oven . Changing the bed covers
I love gardening and sewing and baking

I am very small, and I hate changing bedding. I find it very difficult, particularly because my oldest has a bunk bed.

All chores apart from.ironing- i find this quite therapeutic

Probably cleaning the oven, closely followed by cleaning the bins.

Washing up everything (no option for a dishwasher).

All of it. I mean you'd have to be weird to like any form of cleaning/housework wouldn't you? They are called "Chores" for a reason. Enjoyable they ain't, none of it, not one single thing and I resent the amount of time (minimal) that I spend doing these mind numbing repetitive tasks. Huh.

I really don't 'hate' any of them but if you were to come to my house you'd think I was severely allergic to all of them.

All my life I've tried to be better. It's such a source of shame. Maybe one day I'll get my shit together.

Laundry and dishwasher and that’s why DH deals with that

Just to add..the bins. I refuse to do them when DH is available

I actually enjoy all types of housework, I find it very satisfying but I detest cooking!

Luckily for me, DH loves cooking and is very good at it, so it's a win-win!

Going round and finishing the last 10% of chores that DH has supposedly already finished. Like he takes the rubbish out and does all the recycling, but never puts a bag back in the food waste bin. He just leaves it there with the lid up, waiting. And he's utterly incapable of closing cupboard doors or drawers. Every one just left that bit ajar.
JUST FINISH THE JOB. Aaarghhh.

Ironing and hoovering.

Just the one really.... Ironing!

Cleaning the bathroom. Just awful. I’d rather do anything but that and it isn’t even that dirty really. Just find it so tedious.

Weirdly enough I quite like changing the beds which is obviously unusual judging by how many times people have said they hate it here!

Rinsing the recycling.

Putting a superking duvet cover on…..nightmare!

Hate:

• Cleaning the toilet
• cleaning out hairs from shower
• Cleaning washing machine filter

Strangely don’t mind:

• Putting washing away
• Cleaning dishwasher filter
• Cleaning windows
• Hoovering

I hate dusting and cleaning the skirting boards!
Hoovering and cleaning toilets I find weirdly satisfying!

I don’t mind cleaning, I just can’t keep my house tidy and organised at all, hate dealing with washing, if someone would tidy for me I’d quite happily clean
