Anyone still going tomorrow with the fire and Tube closures?

Anyone going tomorrow? Just heard about the awful fire/s in the area, sounds terrible thick black smoke and people being told to stay indoors, close windows etc.

The 2 main tube lines are closed Jubliee & Metropolitan so not sure how on earth to get there. Ive read you could do Baker Street then walk to Marylebone the a Chiltern Train to Wembly Staudium Station. But severe delays there. Apparently smoke in air is intense. Not sure whether to contact theatre

What is everyone else doing?

I'm not coming. There are two separate vehicles parked on my street that I don't recognise, so I'm staying by the window to watch the owners find the notes I typed for them.

X tree services knocked on my door asking if I needed any work doing. Has anyone else had them knock? Concerned having cold callers - what’s happening to this area!

(that’s a real one and the next 10 messages were a ramping up of ‘the fear’ until no 20 replied and said they were doing work at their house)

Evri are saying my package has been delivered but I haven't received it, has anyone seen it?

On a serious note, it's awful how these waste/recycling warehouses keep going up, we had a big one in our town and the smoke was awful, thick and black for ages

Big mistake. Barbara gave my kids sugar and slept with my husband. Dogs were fine tho.

Barbara, your cat has been in our garden AGAIN. I know “cats will be cats” but it would be lovely if our flowerbeds weren’t being used as a toilet on a daily basis. Not naming and shaming, just making you aware hun x

Secondly, whoever left the anonymous note on our car… thank you for your concern. Would have been nice if you’d knocked on the door rather than leaving a note, seeing as we are all adults and supposedly neighbours, but each to their own! No hard feelings x

Also, completely unrelated, but if anyone is missing a parcel, the Evri driver has delivered it to OUR house YET AGAIN 🙄 We are number 24, which is quite clearly displayed on the door, but apparently this continues to be something of a mystery.
Happy to leave it in the porch but please collect ASAP as we’re not running a parcel depot xxx

I’ll be going. But feeling stressed as we are going with 3 different couples. Couple A and couple C had a big falling out because the wife in couple B slept with the husband of couple A and couple wives B and C are best friends but wives A and C used to be besties. I was good friends with couple C but then they only invited me to the evening reception at the wedding and also it was no kids so couldn’t bring my DC so didn’t go so now there’s an atmosphere. Couple B are driving and want us all to pay for petrol but AIBU to not pay as much because they are picking us up last.

I think I should go NC with them all.

So many of these posts deserve the laugh emoji.

I do wish MN would bring it back. So many funny posts on here on a regular basis.
