I'll start:

travel trousers. - just put some jogging bottoms or leggings on for God sake and stop being a twat
Wills - Maybe nobody I know inherits any money, but wills seem to be a big deal on here

Two threads? Ok.
So "not allowed in this site" is something of an exaggeration!
Relax. People start threads about all sorts of stuff. No prohibition for the general population! 😂

A few that instantly come to mind:

Narcissistic families
Problems with fitting and removing coils
Harry and Meghan (I am guilty of this though)
Prepping for a disaster/war

I always feel sorry for those women with problems fitting and removing coils, though. It sounds so painful and difficult.

If you have a search you'll see it's a thing on here. I'm perfectly relaxed and joining in with the spirit of the thread.

The first link posted twice. The second post is a corker of a thread.

Ok! I'm sure they're a bit strange, I would just ignore them rather than suggest something "is not allowed according to this site" though!
No biggie 😉

I'd never heard of limerance until I joined MN and I've still never heard it mentioned anywhere else.

That's true, same here.

I think that I first came across the term here last year, but have since seen it on a FB group for neurodivergent people.

I had to google it and I've worked in mental health for years.

We don't have grammar schools in our county, so no-one takes the 11+.

TBH I didn't realise that children still took the 11+ until I joined mumsnet.

Heartofglass12345 · 27/08/2026 19:04

@RampantIvyi didn’t know it was dependent on county. I don’t think grammar schools have been a thing in wales since the 70’s!
