Newborn settles in Moses basket but not bedside cot upstairs. Help!

Has anyone experienced and found a way around a newborn who wont settle in their crib? My baby will settle in their moses basket downstairs but not in the bigger bedside cot upstairs.

I've tried heating pads with little effect. I was recommended using a sleepyhead style pod in the crib by a family member but don't think that follows safe sleep rules.

Any tips? Id love to sleep for an hour in my own bed!

Its been a little better. He's just started being fussy generally in the evenings til midnight so the second stand hasn't had the biggest impact yet, but from about 12 to 6 he has started to sleep a little upstairs.

Both rooms were always kept dark in the evening with just white noise, so I think the smaller cot option upstairs is what is making the difference
