Ive just been to see Nick Cave. It doesn't get much better. (Are there many things in life better than amazing live music?)

He is a complete legend ! Nile Rodgers is absolutely brilliant. Am going to see him again at Borde Hill very soon !

Ladybird69 · 31/07/2026 23:25

Pink funhouse tour nothing could ever beat it. She is amazing and puts on an amazing show. Also my first ever concert was Paul young in the 80s we were in the front row and it was televised so I saw myself on the tv 😁 still in love with him now and he’s such a lovely man.

Guns n'Roses VIP Adelaide.
Worth every penny, especially as no one had thought they'd ever get back together.

Did Kylie make an appearance at Nick Cave? A friend posted a clip and it looked wonderful.

Paul McCartney was the absolute best . then Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Was a surprise I loved so much as I don't normally listen to their stuff but the concert was AMAZING .

DelphiniumBlue · 31/07/2026 23:54

Queen, at the Rainbow and later Hammersmith Odeon in the 70s.
Also Eddie Floyd and Steve Marriott ( not at the same time) at Club Dog at the George Robey pub. But so many back then, hard to pick out a few. Loved Alice cooper, obviously David Bowie, latterly Robbie Williams about 10 years ago.

Cockerpoomom · 31/07/2026 23:55

I loved Pink and Coldplay but Lewis Capaldi earlier in the month was AMAZING.

I much prefer open roof arenas / outdoor venues though.

My chemical romance in 2005 i think it was at Portsmouth Guildhall

angerelle · 31/07/2026 23:57

Best gig of the last few years for me was Getdown Services at The Cavern in Exeter.

sandgrown · 31/07/2026 23:57

Genesis at the Circus Maximus in Rome in front of 500,000 people . Amazing!

feellikeanalien · 01/08/2026 00:01

So many. But Roger Waters in Lisbon and Genesis in Amsterdam were two favourites.

Also Nils Lofgren supported by Tom Petty and Eric Clapton with Muddy Waters. Both in the Glasgow Apollo in the 70s.

Summer of 84 concert at Wembley was also amazing.

Mathair2 · 01/08/2026 00:01

Bon Jovi, Punchestown, 2008

Prince at the O2 arena in 2007

JustGiveMeReason · 01/08/2026 00:06

Bruce Springsteen back in the 80s. At a Football stadium.

A UB40 gig in a small theatre before they became internationally famous.

Meatloaf put on a good show too.

OttersOnAPlane · 01/08/2026 00:10

Barenaked Ladies, They Might Be Giants both in Leeds and Paul Simon in Central Park

Tangofandango · 01/08/2026 00:12

Bruce Springsteen Wembley Stadium 4th July 1985

SummerbodyIwish · 01/08/2026 00:16

Fleetwood Mac and Paul Simon Graceland tour

HarrietSchulenberg · 01/08/2026 00:16

From ye olden dayes, Jane's Addiction at Leeds Refec, viewed from the balcony, was pretty good.
Pulp at Roundhay Park. Also U2 at Elland Road on the Joshua Tree tour.
REM at Liverpool Royal Court on the Green tour was probably the best from those times, though.
More recent one would be The Big Moon at the Deaf Institute about 5 or 6 years ago.

Flannelfeet · 01/08/2026 00:16

I love yungblud so im sticking with his first ever bludfest in milton keynes..and his second one. BUT...we seen iron maiden at Knebworth and it really was amazing, absolutely loved it. I am still recovering from it. ❤️🖤

Harry Styles, 2023, Murrayfield day 2. I am not a fan. I couldn’t tell you any of his songs, could barely pick him out of a lineup of one, but it was the best show I’ve seen. There are a few runner ups, I’ve seen some greats, but overall Harry won it.

Saw them at Knebworth in 1992. It was my first ever concert, they were excellent.
