Ive just been to see Nick Cave. It doesn't get much better. (Are there many things in life better than amazing live music?)

He was fabulous- always is. And when Kylie came on stage ….. 😍
I saw My Chemical Romance a few weeks ago and they were absolutely phenomenal.

Guns n'Roses VIP Adelaide.
Worth every penny, especially as no one had thought they'd ever get back together.

Did Kylie make an appearance at Nick Cave? A friend posted a clip and it looked wonderful.

Yes !!! Oh my god, I couldn’t believe it. Amazing !!

Danikm151 · 01/08/2026 01:03

My Chemical Romance at Wembley a few weeks ago.
I got free tickets and I took my son- he’s 6 and loves them. His First concert and it was amazing.
It felt like a theatre show and gig in one.

Best gig of the last few years for me was Getdown Services at The Cavern in Exeter.

I’d heard they’re great fun live - i’ m off to see them later in the year !
I’ve got 3 words for you …..

JeanMarie · 01/08/2026 01:03

Leonard Cohen ....saw him in Belfast. I've been to many other concerts since and nothing will ever beat seeing Mr. Cohen. Although tbh.....I'm really envious you've seen Nick Cave. He's definitely on my bucket list!

Mumtobabyhavoc · 01/08/2026 01:04

Lady Gaga in '13, iirc.
Alisha Keys around the same.
Both very different and brilliant.

avilsdedvocate · 01/08/2026 01:04

The prodigy
The hives

SeasideDaisy · 01/08/2026 01:05

People might thin this is lame but I think Take That put on an amazing show! I saw them last month and it was brilliant, I just love them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/08/2026 01:10

ABBA Voyage Grin (Now don't you go telling me they weren't real ! )

Watching Leonard Cohen doing “Hallelujah” as the sun set at Glastonbury is one of my favourite gig memories. And Nick Cave was fantastic tonight !

My chemical romance in 2005 i think it was at Portsmouth Guildhall

I was there! Took DS2 as it was his favourite band.

ForeverFaithless · 01/08/2026 01:19

Faithless
Manchester 2002.
Nothing compares
Still can't quite believe Maxi Jazz is no longer with us

Such a sad loss 😢 Faithless were good fun live.

JustAnotherWhinger · 01/08/2026 01:32

Green Day.

i wasn’t actually fussed about going but they put on an amazing show live.

Bryan Adams also ranks up there. His live stuff is brilliant.

TanteRose · 01/08/2026 01:34

I go to loads of gigs but I don’t think anything will ever top Before the Dawn - Kate Bush at the Hammersmith Odeon - she’s a living legend!

most recent was last Sunday - Massive Attack headlining Fuji Rock festival

Peacoconut · 01/08/2026 02:00

i loved Lionel Richie in Hove a few years ago, with Shane from Westlife as the first act being pretty good too

also enjoyed Madonna a couple of years ago and have seen Boyz II Men a few times, they put on a good show

GiffGaffClapTrap · 01/08/2026 02:12

Taylor Swift. Amazing.

Nickcaveinbrighton · 01/08/2026 02:23

Kylie did make an appearance. Wonderful bonus. I am also a Flaming Lips fan - supporting act - so all in all a great night.

Thanks for the replies. People have been to some great gigs.

Im sad never to have seen Leonard Cohen.

Ive been to a few years ago that we're great. Stand out occasions are Gnarls Berkeley in a very small venue somewhere in London, I've forgotten where, nearly 20 years ago.

So many. But Roger Waters in Lisbon and Genesis in Amsterdam were two favourites.

Also Nils Lofgren supported by Tom Petty and Eric Clapton with Muddy Waters. Both in the Glasgow Apollo in the 70s.

Summer of 84 concert at Wembley was also amazing.

Summer of 84 was the first concert I ever went to 😊

Live aid and Mika- Leeds 2025 were absolutely the best concerts I've ever been to.

Gateappreciation · 01/08/2026 02:30

Quuen - Wembley , kind of Magic tour

I’ve just seen the YouTube video of Kylie joining Nick Cave on stage!! Wow what a special moment that must have been!

his comments in her recent documentary are also brilliant - they have a wonderful friendship Smile
