Ive just been to see Nick Cave. It doesn't get much better. (Are there many things in life better than amazing live music?)

Michael Jackson at Wembley Stadium 1988

Divine Comedy in a nightclub in Madrid 2 years ago, right at the front, tiny venue, amazing mood and atmosphere, lovely friends, lovely hug from Neil afterwards - perfection.

I’ve seen the band many times in various places but that was the best.

Spanish people LOVE to sing and knew all the lyrics (I’m half Spanish) and it was just such a fun, warm atmosphere.

Chilli peppers for me too. Blown away! Arctic monkeys never disappoint either. Neither do the stereophonics! Kelly Jones makes me weak at the knees, every time!

TiggersTheOnlyOne · 01/08/2026 11:36

Bon Jovi August 2000. The last concert ever played at the old Wembley stadium. Phenomenal.

Elton John in 2012, he'd just had his first dc and the concert began at 6.30 and finished before 10pm which suited me.
Placido Domingo and Olga Borodina in the opera Samson and Delilah at the ROH. Amazing.

I agree she’s brilliant live!

NewGirlInTown · 01/08/2026 11:50

Led Zeppelin reunion in 2007 at the O2.
Top 5 days of my life, I was beside myself with happiness at finally getting to see them thirty years after I fell in love with them.
My father would not let me go to 1975 concerts at Earls Court, said I was too young.

Also Bowie at Hammersmith Apollo in 2002/3(?)
Three hours of the sweatiest gig ever with a set list of his greatest songs.

QuirkyHorse · 01/08/2026 11:51

Queen, with Freddie.
Hands down the best gigs I have been to.

Megsdaughter · 01/08/2026 11:51

Live Aid. Nothing to beat it.

HippyChickMama · 01/08/2026 12:00

MakeTeaNotWar · 01/08/2026 12:13

@Nickcaveinbrighton I was there too! It was incredible, easily up there with one of my top gigs. Flaming Lips were also fantastic

Morepositivemum · 01/08/2026 12:15

I’ve seen a lot of the biggies over the years-Coldplay, oasis, rem, kylie, Madonna, Britney, Beyoncé, Girls Aloud, Radiohead, blur, Sinead o Connor … best gig is still Delta Goodrem- she played a small gig in Ireland a few years ago, not by any means full and a lottt of gay guys- the whole room knew her songs off by heart and we all just sang!! First time going to a concert on my own and was lovely to not have to keep watching someone else to see were they enjoying!!
