Any ideas for a lovely 18th birthday gift for dd who has had a tough year?

She likes jewellery but I don’t want to get the wrong thing. She drives and has a car to use. Cha

My dd had a handbag for her 21st, she chose it though, Radley was £140 then, for her recent birthday I bought her a silver bracelet from a designer local to me, £100 which she wears most days, I’ve bought earrings from the same designer in the past, being a local person you get a much more personalised service and cheaper than big brands.

As you said she likes jewellery I would buy a piece that she can look back on in years to come as a PP mentioned - I would ask your DD as she may have an idea of something she would love

For £300, what about a bag from somewhere like Longchamp? Popular brand with that age group, and she could choose a small leather bag or something like that. Or maybe a purse? How far are you from a designer outlet place like Bicester? The money would stretch further there.

Or what about a painting/print? Not a typical 18th gift, I know, and maybe one for a special birthday when she’s a bit older, but you’ll know your DD.

The Tiffany experience sounds lovely if she would like jewellery.

If you’d be happy choosing jewellery for her, I’d absolutely go second hand (no VAT) but I wouldn’t mention that it was second hand to her.

I appreciate that you’re probably looking for something to keep rather than consume. But if not, a Sephora trip, or free rein in a clothing store, would have been a dream come true to me at that age.
