Really struggling to manage now. Anyone else?

Nights are still over 70. If I knew it would be easier in 6 weeks I’ll just suspend life till then, rebook appts etc.

I’m ill - GP lost tests twice so no treatment yet - not eating, no appetite cos heat and getting weaker as the weeks pass. Can’t go out for exercise as it’s over 90 here in the day, falling asleep a lot.

It’s really not been that hot in London the last week or so.

I’m near London and it hardly relentless … wait until winter and you’ll be moaning agin.

What a nasty thing to say about someone who has said she is ill. Lots of health conditions cos people to really struggle to regulate their body temperature! It’s good your lucky enough not to have that drama in your life!

It was pretty cold today in Yorkshire. Grey and windy. I had my fleece back on.

Im in the garden, Ive had to put a sweatshirt and trackie bottoms on and my cosy slippers. Hands are cold. Cooler out here than in the house.

This year is hotter that usual due to us experiencing a supercharged El Niño season. It will be warm into next year. I don’t know where you live but expect more extreme weather to come x

Do you have fans etc? I’m in Liverpool and it’s 20 inside my house. Have you had all your windows open etc you need to keep the cool air coming in

It has been incredibly hot. Powered by a supercharged El Niño event. I’m 35 and it’s never been this hot with back to back heatwaves. Every year is getting hotter and these weather events are more common. Aren’t you so lucky not have any health conditions that are affected by the hot weather. Such a selfish view point, everything that’s wrong with society nowadays “I’m alright jack” attitude and 0 empathy.

Just moved into a newish build house - about 10 years old and the average temperature in the bedroom at night is 26(in the south) for the last month. Literally just had sheets for cover. Welcome August as tbh the temperature will drop as the nights draw in.

I’ve got a few fans actually but i actually need to leave the house and my new build house holds the heat, why do you care how much people struggle with the heat?

Can you elaborate eg warmer winter ? .
Or hotter summer ?

The nights are starting to draw in now (sadly) and August always seems to be a bit cooler and wetter than July. We usually have big thunderstorms part way through which bring cooler weather. People don’t realise how hot some houses/flats can get, especially in big cities. London sits in a bowl where the heat can collect. I’m hanging on in there - just a couple or so weeks to go I reckon.

I’m loving the hot weather. I do live a stones throw or less from the sea though.
It must be so hard if you live in a city where the temperatures are higher.
i must admit I will be very sad when the hot weather ends and we go into cool/cold Autumn.
We don’t even have the fun of snow days anymore😁

Get an air con unit … it’s 2026, she’s living in London, there are many many options. It’s just easier to moan about it, what is anyone meant to do?!?

If the heat is that unbearable for you and is effecting your life like this then I suggest you invest in a decent aircon unit or at least a decent fan. We have a Dreo fan, it was expensive but so worth it for the nighttime.

Not entirely sure what you’re actually asking here. No body can be certain of the weather and what will happen in the coming weeks, but typically yes it cools down into September.

It is unfortunate that you have health issues of course, but there isn’t much we can do about the weather, so we have to just get on with it and do what we can to make ourselves more comfortable. I have two young children and my youngest bedroom was 33 degrees in the night a few weeks ago. We all slept terribly… but you just get on with it ?
