Shared male and female changing areas etiquette - swimming

The leisure centre I use has a large changing "village" for everyone. There are individual lockable changing cubicles and individual lockable showers.

On the basis that I've been sharing a pool, wearing a swimming costume, with the same people, I don't have a problem with changing or showering on the other side of a partition from men or women or with moving around the area half dressed.

I was just wondering what the expectation is re moving between the shower cubicle and and changing cubicles. Is it OK to go wrapped in a towel, or is the expectation that you'd shower in your costume or put it back on (or other clothes?) before leaving the cubicle?

I don't think dressing in the shower is practical as there's nowhere dry to put anything.

Fwiw, they do have seperate male and female toilets.
