Something special for daughter on 18th birthday from Grandad?

My DS will be getting a rolex on his 18th birthday from his Grandad. He is only 14 but it was bought recently. Inside the gift will also be a letter for my DS to keep up forever.
My DD is only 11 but my FIL wants to do something similar for her. What would be a similar type of gift for my DD? He wants to spend a similar amount, give or take. Rolex was about 7000 euro afaik.
I know we are incredibly fortunate that FIL wants to do this. He is 78 and although reasonably healthy he does have some issues and I think he wants to sort these things in the near future...

Thanks for the replies. College funds etc are arranged. This was meant as someone had said, something to accompany him through his life that his Dad & Grandad have also had.

We will try help with a car maybe for his 21st.
A rolex could work for my daughter but she has sensory processing disorder so doesn't really like stuff on her wrists (for now anyway).

As you said your DD has sensory issues so doesn't like anything on her wrists, I would suggest a pair of diamond earrings.
They are classic, suit young and old, and are easy to carry with you anywhere.

If she wouldn't like a Rolex then earrings and/or a necklace from Tiffanys would be a lovely gift for your daughter.
