Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, after snuggles in bed with boy cat 😊. He's sat in his chair in here too, while I drink & scroll.

The washer's on already but that's it so far, apart from giving the cats their breakfast. There are pots to wash and proper tidying to be done later on.

Today will definitely be a slow, moochy, kind of day here. I'm well ready for the break. I think I might just spend the day with my crochet in between various house jobs.

Dd2 will probably suggest watching some 9-1-1 together at some point, and dd1's at work from mid-afternoon. So, hopefully a fairly quiet and restful day here.

I have no idea what's for tea - I'll rummage in the freezer shortly 🤔.

After that, I might start a new book before an early night 💤.

husband working until midnight so he won’t benefit from a nice quiet house 🤣. He will get a good lie in though I suppose- until I’m back at lunch lol .

dd working till midnight, DS will take full advantage and get in a lot of Xbox time I’m sure !

Dropped child of for Jamboree.
Plan to drink diet coke and watch Netflix/Disney for the rest of the day. Doing nothing.
No children at home!

Good morning (just)

Having a backwards sort of day getting up early to work and then clear out the car then see the dentist. But now I have the rest of the day to myself as dp is away and ds is going out to see Odysseus and spoil his girlfriend. I’m going to eat leftovers and maybe cheese and crackers - no cooking. Might pick some blackberries.

Dh is meeting up with both sons today at his work place. They are working on some vehicles so I've had a couple of hours getting the housework done which I've enjoyed.

Im meeting my friend shortly and we are doing a 50 ish mile bike ride. We are going past dh's workplace so we will have a brew there before continuing in the Forest of Bowland.

We've done jiu-jitsu, food shop and a tidy round, ready for my lovely MIL coming over to watch the kids.
DH & I are headed out for a few drinks in the afternoon, for the first time in forever. Should be a good day.

Just off to go and visit my elderly Mum for a few hours with DD14. I told her 10 mins ago to clean her teeth (yes, even at 14 I still have to tell her!). Hopefully, she will do them shortly and we’ll get going.

I’m hoping we’ll get back around 5 and then I can sit in the garden for an hour and read my book.

I’m late today! I was due to go on a run this morning but sacked off as I have the end of a cold and am on my period. It’s a good job I didn’t go as it turned out our water was off all morning due to a burst main down the road - so I wouldn’t have been able to have a shower. It’s been on and off and very low pressure since Thursday evening - very frustrating.

We’re at the opera this evening with friends so I’ve been out to the shop for our posh picnic prep and got that all ready to go. DP is working until about 4 so I’m just sitting at a cafe having a late lunch and then will go to pick him up and meet our friends. It’s been a really busy couple of weeks and DP and I haven’t been able to spend much quality time together, so really looking forward to this. Hope everyone else is having a lovely day :)

The morning passed uneventfully here. Up and out early to go to Asda - the yellow sticker gravy was still there from last week. Glad I got it last week at £1.88 a jar, because now - randomly - it was £3.09...
Had a bit of an issue at Waitrose. Got about 6 bits, and it came to £24, thought "that can't be right..." Sure enough, when I checked the receipt, I'd been charged almost £12 for 6 lunchbox-sized cartons of apple juice. 😂Off to customer services for a refund, and to pay the correct price. Employee equally befuddled, as all the products on the shelf were scanning at £12, when the label said £2.90. Something very clearly wrong there.

Then went to Greggs for what will probably be my last free hot drink from Octopus Energy, as they are "improving" (for who?) the reward scheme as of this coming Monday. Can't complain, as I've probably had 20 free drinks at this point.

Home to hang out some washing, and then put a cleaner through the washing machine, as it's been smelling a bit musty for a while. It's now smelling much nicer, so that's a good job done.

Have also booked train tickets, and station parking, for a day trip down to London next Saturday to see a show. Looking forward to that, but trying to think of other things I can do in London before and after the matinee, as I booked a quite early trip in, and a late trip out, to take advantage of cheaper trains.

Nothing else planned for this weekend. Might watch a film this evening. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Good afternoon all!

I had a lazy start to the morning. Ds1 is enjoying two three weeks break from football so we had the luxury of a lie in this morning too.
I’ve mucked out eldest DDs bedroom she’s away on holiday with her boyfriend and my mum is coming to stay in her room tomorrow night. It was in a right state with fake tan in the walls which I wasn’t impressed with 😡 it’s had a lick of paint to cover them and looks very fresh and lovely now.
Ds 2 is in his room, Dd2 in Manchester with her friends, ds1 is out with his mates.
I’ve been cleaning and sorting most of the day so just having a little chill…. Dh had suggested going out for tapas later so may do that.
