Yes I know it the Express (I don’t follow them) but this just popped up on my fb feed. The way they report it! ‘Baby faced’ no other offences (that they know of plus every rapist has a first victim)
Wtf? What is wrong with this country?

I wonder if there’s a way we can all be made aware of these disgusting sentences? It’s usually only local newspapers which carry them and so we wouldn’t generally know about them.
We need to ensure we can complain about these sentences and send a very loud message to these judges!

It's not taken seriously is it.
Look at how the girls in the grooming cases have been treated after all the programs and dramas and hoc debates.
Their attackers go free early ,don't serve their sentences the victims have no idea where they are etc.
No one cares sadly.

surely it’s the daily express headline- I can’t find anything that suggests it’s a quote.

tbf to the judge their hands are often tied by sentencing guidelines. If you read my pp the sentences are a hangover from when sexual assault was seen completely differently - men couldn’t rape their wives until relatively recently.

the judge did state she had to impose the sentence that would have applied when the crime was committed. Which to me sounds like she would have liked to give him a less lenient term.

fortunately the Police and the CPS are changing and prosecuting, but the sentencing needs dragging into this century as well.

Your comment about the sentences isn’t correct. Under 18s have quite new guidelines which aim to keep them out of prison but here are exemptions which judges must take into account, Rape is one of them. Just like the recent Fordingbridge cases, the judge has got this sentence very wrong.

I heard this amazing lady on LBC once talking about going into nursery and from 3 teaching boys to kind . Apparntly this has a knock on later down the line. ..

Are there any circs where it's acceptable to touch and rape girls and women ?
Are there mitigating a circs?

I don't think there should be.
Rape someone ,blanket punishment including castratarion.
