Good morning from the train to London, to collect dd1 from her first year accommodation for the summer!

We're going with two more cases than she started off with 🙈.

So, a morning of packing, cleaning, and then breakfast at Bread Ahead (I called to make sure the cases wouldn't be an issue!). We're on the 2pm train home.

Frozen pizzas for tea since they're quick and easy, then a very early night for me since we were up at 4am 💤💤.

That's a nice day @lucysmam, great to fetch DC home from university, even if you have to fit their possessions back into the house.
I am about to get up as I have a pile of paperwork to do. Today it is my niece's birthday so we're going there for a barbecue late afternoon. Looking forward to seeing family.

Morning @lucysmam I’m just having an iced coffee on the sofa. Neither DD nor the cat have surfaced yet, and won’t for a while. I’m meeting a friend at 8.45 for parkrun, then will go for a coffee together and a catch up. After that I’ll be home to do a quick clean and tidy before my sister and niece come over later. I’m looking after niece while sister gets ready for a concert later. I live in walking distance from the venue hence why she’s getting ready at mine. I plan to take niece out for ice cream before her dad collects her at 6ish. Dinner tonight will be breaded fish with baby new potatoes, veg and tartare sauce. DD is off to the coast for the day so I’ll be home alone most of the evening. Will probably read my book and watch some tv, do some yoga and maybe go for an evening walk just before sunset. I woke at 5.30 so am outside in the garden with a coffee and my book. DD’s playing football today so I’m taking her to that while DP works. Not sure what DS will do - hopefully not spend all day on his PS5 🙄.

Was expecting good weather so planned a BBQ later but it’s a bit cloudy at the moment. Should enjoy it before the next heatwave I suppose! Well watch whatever footy’s on then an early night for me too - and hopefully more of a lie in tomorrow.

DS got back from his school trip at midnight. DH picked him up, so they're both in bed for a while still.

We're doing as much sorting as we can for our 2 week holiday in Pembrokeshire today as DH and I are going to a wedding in Norway the weekend before.

We'll probably go to the Italian festival.

BBQ for supper. I really need to do a food shop.

Going for lunch with an old friend we bumped into each other after not seeing each other for 3 years so I am really looking forward to it.

Up with the baby who currentlt has a virus. So lots of disturbed sleep.

Will take other kids grocery shopping today. And then visit my mum.

I'm having my coffee & then I'll be off to a dog agility competition about 1hour drive away.
I'm hoping DH & DC will do the housework for me as it's usually a long, tiring day. You know the type of day: drinking coffees, eating cakes and catching up with lots of people. Oh yeah and of course running the dog for about 30 seconds a few times!
Good Luck with moving your DD @lucysmam , we've had DD moving back for the foreseeable after finishing uni- luckily she's landed a good job so she's already planning to move out again.

DS has his 6th birthday party this morning. Wish me luck with 15 very excited 6 year olds!! Luckily most parents are staying I think (village hall type party). Then planning a trip to the park or something this afternoon to let DS have a good run around after all the excitement and cake.

Morning everyone! Good luck bring your DD back. I can honestly say I've never been to London (live in East Midlands)!
Im going to Google bread ahead.
Just having a cuppa in bed with DP, we're both scrolling.
Gonna walk the dog before it gets too warm, clean through and put some washing out, collect my new car (so excited, its my dream car and I've wanted one for bloody ages).
Later we'll go Butchers and do a little BBQ. Nice quiet weekend.
Kids are adults and just do their own thing.

That's nice of you to collect your DD, @lucysmam . I remember struggling with my cases and bags onto a National Express coach (that I'd only caught by the skin of my teeth....the driver was angry I was late and refused to help me load them on) after my first year at uni. I'd had a horrendous year and my whole family's mental health was at an all-time low. Luckily it got better after that summer!

Today I need to put away washed baby things and do some pregnancy admin. The weather forecast isn't looking great here so I might take the (probably last ever for a while!) chance to play some computer games or read. I'll do some gardening between the showers. I really miss proper coffee 😪

Aw @Boxiboxi21 that's sad. It'd be quite the challenge with 4 suitcases. We'd have got Flixbus but dd has a (totally irrational) fear of her things falling out 🤣.

I’ve been awake since 3.30, my stomach is sore from having polyps removed from my bowel yesterday so not a happy bunny!
I have my preop this week before lung surgery, presumably in the following couple of weeks? It’s getting scary…
I have lined up someone to do the cleaning and garden, DH says he’ll walk both dogs as I won’t be doing much for 6+ weeks after apparently.
i’ll be glad when it’s done!
I’m going to do a bit of gardening, my big pots need sorting out so that’s all I have planned for today so far.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone! You are very early today.

I didn't catch up last weekend as we've just been on holiday, just got back yesterday! It was fantastic. I'm a little bit down now about not having a holiday to look forward to, but it is very nice to have a bedroom to myself after 10 days of sharing. On the up side... Mr Dilemma tells me I no longer snore, which is a good thing.

This morning I have to pack up a pair of jeans I have sold on Hinted and then Mr Dilemma will take them to the local parcel shop and pick up a parcel that is waiting for me. I have to unpack and start on the laundry, as I was too tired to do anything about it yesterday.

We have a smallish supermarket delivery coming between 10.00 and 11.00, then we will have to have an early lunch before picking up middle (chorister) grandson and his cello for his Youth Orchestra concerts today. We are going to the first one, but will need to find somewhere for coffee before it starts as they have a rehearsal first. He and his mum will go off and have lunch between performances, and Mr Dilemma will go back to pick them, and his brother and dad, up after the second performance.

We had a takeaway last night, of which I only ate half, so I will be having leftover curry for my evening meal tonight. Lunch will probably be a corner beef and salad roll, provided everything arrived that I have ordered.

I haven’t been on these threads in a while so it’s nice to catch up with y’all. I’m about to crawl out of bed and shower before OH’s sister collects us to go for brunch. It’s his birthday tomorrow and his sister is treating him / us to a nice local farm shop brunch.

After that we’re attending an exhibition opening this afternoon then probably head back home to clean the house and snuggle down a bit. I also want to prep some work for the week ahead and make sense of all the food in the fridge.

Depending on what OH wants to eat, we may have a vegetable tart or ham hocks and mashed potatoes for dinner. Have a beautiful day everyone!

There's a village festival nearby that we're planning on going to but the weather is not looking great, supposed to rain all afternoon and evening. But I think we'll go anyway, I want to see what its like and I don't want to sit at home all day, got too used to doing something every day while we were on holiday last month.

Right now I'm considering making another cup of tea and watching some telly. DS has come back from a sleepover and is now gaming while on the phone to his friend. DD is still asleep. OH is in the basement messing around with his new music computer.

Off to meet DB and his family in Dulwich park and at Dulwich art gallery and to get a frantic last minute birthday present and card as it’s a friend’s birthday today with meal out and drinks at a bar afterwards in Beckenham. I forgot about the birthday.

Im still in bed with cup of tea. School and work out for summer here in Scotland. And I’m so happy. This week has been a mix of birthdays, leavers ceremonies, awards, essays. Lots of emotions and I’d set today as a lie in day.

Plan is to get up soon(ish). Dog needs a proper walk and need to sort through some washing. House has been neglected this week.

I plan to read and have a cheeky nap. No idea what’s for tea or others plans. Today I’m refusing to be in charge 😝

Good morning, we’re on holiday, its 5am here so the day is only just starting for me. In a bit I’ll go for a run, we’re staying in a little cottage/lodge on Muskoka lakes. When everyone else is up and we’ve had breakfast we’re going a little boat tour before going to a play park. We’re quite tired so we’ll likely have a slow evening.

Quiet day here - I ended up very unwell last week and though I’m feeling much better now I think I still need to take it easy. DP’s friend is staying with us this weekend and I expect they’ll go out into town to do something later on. I may or may not join them depending on what they decide to do. House is a bit of a tip so I’d like to a bit of sorting to try and get on top of everything. Will venture out to the shop to find something for dinner, and then planning on an early night!

Good morning @lucysmam & everyone. Only just getting up which is highly unusual. I didn’t go to sleep until 2am, woke with DH’s alarm at 6.15 then went back to sleep til gone 8. I didn’t even hear him leave. Dropped off yet again until 10! DD17 is away with her GF. They wild camped last night. I was planning to go to a favourite NT property but it’s cloudy & I really want to photograph the beautiful gardens in the sunshine. Still, there’s loads to do for Vinted. Need to remind DH to iron a bagful of clothes to upload. Will see if he’s done the dishwasher when I get downstairs. There’s a load of washing to go on (will venture into DD’s pit to see if she has anything) & a load to come off the line. Need to pop to the PO as I sold a ring on Vinted yesterday. DH has suggested a chippy tea so I’ll do the ham salad with Jersey Royals tomorrow instead. No plans for this evening. DD will be home at some point, probably grumpy as I doubt she got much sleep. She’s not a fan of camping but went for her GF as she was so happy about it. Quite sweet actually. Have a great Saturday all 🙂🙂🙂

Morning all
Bit of a lie in as we were out last night. Currently watching the rugby but about to rouse DS for the F1 sprint race. He had his prom last night but was home at half past midnight. I'm assuming he was up until all hours watching football.
Lunch while the F1 is on, then DH and I are going to a record fair at a local pub 🍻. Its a bit grey and cool here so might need jeans instead of shorts.
Sauage pasta for tea and a night in just the 3 of us before DS goes on holiday tomorrow.
