Gone but not forgotten - talent I miss

I’ve been listening to old episodes of I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue on radio four, and oh, I miss Jeremy Hardy.

A funny, talented man gone too soon.

OP posts:

As soon as I read the title (bit before I’d seen I OP) I thought of Jeremy Hardy too @MeekSqueak. He seemed like such a good man - as well as being funny and clever.

George Michael was a fascinating person in addition to being a unique talent. Gone way too soon.
It would have been really interesting to see where Princess Diana landed had she not passed. Frivolous I know, but imagine her Instagram!
Kirsty MacColl. LOVED her.

Sidebeforeself · 27/06/2026 22:00

David Bowie.

Another one who misses George Michael. I still have this intense feeling he shouldn’t have died, it wasn’t his time. Seems such a tragedy.

TheHallmarkedMan · 27/06/2026 22:02

Heath Ledger. What a career we’ve missed out on.

Waitingfordoggo · 27/06/2026 22:11

Rik Mayall and Sean Lock are the two I miss the most.

Dfg15 · 27/06/2026 22:14

Elvis
Sean Lock and most recently Anthony Head

hermitcrab · 27/06/2026 22:15

Terry Wogan, particularly his breakfast show on Radio 2.

AImportantMermaid · 27/06/2026 22:16

Prince
David Bowie

Both disruptors and visionaries.

Mark Hollis from Talk Talk. He gave up his career to be a fully present dad to his sons. A clever and talented songwriter and musician.

Sean Lock - funny and brilliant:

George Michael - He wasn’t my thing at all as I was growing up, but he was genuinely talented and a wonderful kind hearted and funny man.
