I think if I was spending £ 1/2mil I would want a garage, it’s also got a tiny garden. What bemuses me is the ‘dining room’ - it’s the (albeit huge) hall. The area (for Weston Super Mare) is good but the ‘parking ‘ looks like it is the long drive, which would drive us as a 2 car family, nuts. Remember Butterflies? 😂

Large houses seem difficult to sell, Weston isn’t the richest area, in the last year our house has increased by almost £100k, my parents much bigger house only £40k. 🤷‍♀️

Would you? Well don’t move to the SE then.

YoBetty · 13/06/2026 11:30

Is that a fire hazard, or what?

Fradishes · 13/06/2026 11:32

I like it a lot, I live 300 miles away though😆the moss is wild how would that work - what’s the board in the kitchen that looks like a mix of scrabble letters and Lego? That looks fun, I would love that. Hate the astroturf though.

dapsnotplimsolls · 13/06/2026 11:20

Look at 8 and 9 again.

The fridge freezer is still there in photo 8. If you look at the bowl of apples on the corner of the counter it's behind that tucked into the window alcove.

YoBetty · 13/06/2026 11:34

It must have taken some ingenuity getting that hot tub into the garden, the drive is pretty narrow and awkward. What did they do - lower it in by Chinook?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/06/2026 11:36

The bannister looks CGI

But it is a lovely house , even overlooking the weirdy moss wall Grin

In what world is that cluttered?

Some people really are extreme minimalists! Keeps everything including the bloody kettle, in a cupboard!

slowhandss · 13/06/2026 11:42

That’s a gorgeous home and a steal for 500k

Monty36 · 13/06/2026 12:01

I think it is fabulous. Wonderful interior. I would get rid of the moss. But they have good taste. And lovely to see what is a lived in home.
If only the garden was a bit bigger.
But fab. And no there is not any need to declutter anything ! Nothing wrong with books, hobbies, character. Love it.

Aluna · 13/06/2026 12:07

I like the moss wall but i would put it in the garden.

RanyaJerodung · 13/06/2026 12:07

I love it! A lived in family home, and a change from all the god awful grey and greige that you see nowadays.
I love the stair carpet and the child's room with the lego wall. The kitchen is lovely.
I'd definitely buy it if I was looking.

WinterFrogs · 13/06/2026 10:40

In what world is that cluttered?

A world in which everything is grey and bare, and looks as if no-one has ever read a book or played a game 😞

ReprogramNeeded · 13/06/2026 12:30

I looked at photos 8 and 9 and thought your point was that there is so little space in the kitchen that the bins are blocking the oven door!

ChimpanzeeThatMonkeyNews · 13/06/2026 12:41

That’s a small kitchen for half a million!

Flintstonerubble · 13/06/2026 12:44

I downsized from my family home of 30 odd years recently. I’m a very private person and I felt uncomfortable at the time with having photos of every room in my house on display on Rightmove. But I knew it had to be done to sell the house. And it did sell within 48hrs.

But OMG I would have been devastated if I opened Mumsnet to find my home being pored over and critiqued by all and sundry. I hate threads like this 😠

Yes, the 3 laughing emojis is a bit much. I thought there was something of significant comedy value, not just a lovely family home with some slightly unusual, but nice decorative features.

SummitWrong · 13/06/2026 12:50

I could live with the moss, but the kitchen would drive me nuts, would need to go on a diet or implement a one way system to manoeuvre around it.

zacsGranny · 13/06/2026 13:00

Is that a trouser press in one of the bedrooms? Bet not many people still have them.

perlan · 13/06/2026 13:09

Very nice and has a bit of character unlike the clones around with their minimalist decor that look like a clinic.

Seems like a very good price for the size of it. I love the fact that it's not just hall, living room, kitchen diner, bifold doors. I like it a lot!

RanyaJerodung · 13/06/2026 13:12

I love the wallpaper in picture 3.

FeliciaFancybottom · 13/06/2026 13:12

I thought you were talking about the tiny ghost outside the kitchen window...

PinkPonyAnonymous · 13/06/2026 13:19

Larrythecatforpm · 13/06/2026 10:11

occasional bedroom/reception so it’s a four bed house not a 5 bed then. 🤦‍♀️ one of those bedrooms is designed for a tiny hobit as well. Not worth the price.

Wow, that’s an insanely good price for where we live! You could not get a 3 bed for that, let alone a 4 bed!

Same here and I'm not even in the South East!

KnewYearKnewMe · 13/06/2026 13:23

It’s lovely - unique and has a quirky layout.

you could always adapt one of the smaller bedrooms to put a shower room on the middle floor.

i like their taste.

BreaktheIce · 13/06/2026 13:27

I'm less wtf about the fake grass as splashback than the bins in front of the aga/cooker (which is crammed up against the wall). Suggests a very poor kitchen layout.
