How many over 65 still have sex?

As title says really just out of interest

how old are you and how old is your OH

Jeez, seems to be an unspoken sense that 65 is too old here (why 65 I wonder? Why not 64 or 71 or 99?) Given that's not even pensioner age now and many people would see themselves as still in (alright, late) middle age at 65 it's a bit sad to read how many have given it all up!

Anyway, 67 and still happily shagging along, thanks very much! Can't see why things won't continue into my seventies, and hope they do.

I get the impression many mumsnetters think sex after children is unnecessary.

62 and 69. Not as often as we used to, and not quite so...erm....vigorously... but still regularly! You don't just shrivel up - well I haven't!

Everybody's different though. To me sex is a chore and I'm so glad I no longer have to endure it.
If I could have gone through life only doing it the 2 times necessary to conceive my kids, I'd have been delighted 😅

Surely all of them unless they aren’t in a relationship with someone they want to have sex with!!

Not over 65 but the amount of times random relatives have caught / nearly my 70+ year old parents having sex lately is 100% worthy of one of those slapstick comedy movies 🤣

67 and 72. 2-3 times per week is about the norm for us. Why do you ask?

I am intrigued to see so many in their 60s plus having so much sex 😳😂 I’m 45 and can’t be bothered with it at all anymore. And it’s not through lack of good sex, I’ve had a lot of good sex in my life, I’m just bored of it now. It’s like another exercise class to do. I’d genuinely rather read a book and have a tea. Each to their own.

Mid 70's here and had FWB until recently. When active it was once in midweek and twice at the weekend. Long weekends away and then it increased

I keep Jane Eyre written in French by my phone and when I get an obvious scammer I just start reading any old paragraph chosen at random. Neither of us knows what I'm talking about.

i would say every other day generally
When we first met ( 26 years ago ) it was every day sometimes twice 😂

neither of us smoke rarely drink not overweight and generally very healthy

No. Generally in their living room I believe. Thankfully it has never been me to catch them. Good for them though. They seem happy. I have encouraged they lock the front door though to stop it happening again.
