I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot, after pottering in the kitchen since getting up. Boy cat's watching the birds from on top of one of the last boxes waiting to be moved out of here. Girl's gone back to bed with dd2.

We're not up to much today - my dad's lending me his mower shortly since the blades for mine haven't arrived yet, so I'll mow the grass, and sand the filler I didn't get round to yesterday. Hopefully my friend's collecting her suitcases I borrowed for moving (she can get a lift to collect them, I'd have to walk them back, just in case anyone pulls a face at her coming for them!).

Other than that, I'd like to get round to painting the other side of the conservatory and need to do an online shop.

Dd2 has her Spanish speaking GCSE tomorrow first thing, so will be practising Spanish all day no doubt. And dd1 will probably mooch in pj's complaining about the lack of snacks...sharing a bedroom...having to turn lights out...having to wash up after someone else has cooked...everything and anything she can think of really 🙄.

No idea what's for tea yet but after the kitchen's tidied I'll have my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower and an hour with my book before bed ready for the coming week 💤💤.

What about all of you? 🙂

It ate half my post - anyway cold was awful so I’m just doing washing and watching shite!

dd3 has work, dd1 is at the Cov game with her mate and DD2 met her gf’s mum for brunch today - I’m living vicariously through them all!

I was at the gym for my PT first thing this morning and now I’m on the way to a hotel beach club for the day with my daughters and one of my granddaughters. It’s getting hot now but there will be a breeze and it’s a lovely way to reset after a busy week.

I’m on the ferry to visit my son on the IOW. Usual rush in the morning so no breakfast and I can see the queue for the food is long, wondering if I should wait or wait in line! I bet my son won’t have anything in as it’s the end of the month so beans on toast time (not literally, but you get my meaning). I’m skint too having just got back a couple weeks ago from a big holiday but I have a credit card which he does not!
Not sure what we’ll do - probably a food shop! Maybe the garden centre to get some plants for his courtyard. I’ve brought dinner with me - ribs!

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone. I'm just back from swimming. It takes 25 minutes to get there, and the same back, and you hadn't posted by the time we left hence waiting until now.

I have a load of washing in, which includes our swimming towels, and a few more things drying. I have a couple of things to package up which I have sold on Vinted which I am hoping Mr Dilemma will take down to the shop later. He is currently researching how best to sell our mid-century teak dining suite. We picked up a cheap extendable dining table in a charity shop last week, which seats 10 when extended but folds down to smaller than our current table, and we have been thinking of selling our dining suite for ages, so now is the time. I'm hoping that with a smaller (when not extended) dining table and sideboard and some stacking chairs our conservatory dining room will be more spacious. One of Mr Dilemma's jobs for the next couple of days is to clear out the space under his bed so that we can fit the (taken apart) new table under there.

I'm going to look at my plant babies shortly, then I will write a letter to my demented uncle. I'm feeling guilty as I haven't written to him for ages, but he really wouldn't know if he had 3 letters from me in a week, or 1 in 3 months, so I needn't really.

I will also go through the next grocery order with Mr Dilemma, it's not due for over a week but Houdini and his mum (my daughter) are coming to stay for a few days and I'm getting ridiculously excited! So there are some nice things on there for them, some things specifically for Mr Dilemma, as I'm currently eating portion-controlled ready meals, and a lot of veg and salad.

My evening meal today will be one of the aforesaid ready meals with cabbage, and maybe some carrots if I want to go mad! It will be whatever Mr Dilemma chooses to pull out of the cupboard. I'm not sure what he will be having, but he will make/heat that up himself. There's plenty for him in the freezer.

I am tired and a bit meh today. I have my period so it's probably that and also have been fairly busy this weekend with gardening and tidying.

Dh is taking the kids out this afternoon and I am thinking I might do some very easy going yoga. I might make some bread and/or scones for the week ahead. I also want to clean my patio.

Or maybe I'll just have a nap!

lucysmam · Yesterday 12:30

@Tiddlywinks63 I'm right there with you - it's a massive change to the life you're used to! Hopefully your team are on the ball quickly & get some sort of plan in place. I'm 3 years on from diagnosis (breast with possible bone mets) &, honestly, day-to-day is fairly "normal" for me at the moment. Hopefully yours will be too, once there's something being done!

Busy morning of chores - DC1 hoovered (we have a lot of stairs), DC2 did the beds (barring the superking as she's too little) and DC3 has been busy colouring and doing her sticker books.

Shopping has arrived and been put away, second lot of washing has just gone outside on the line, lunch (avo on toast with tomato) is incoming and then this afternoon I'll tackle the ironing whilst older 2 go out to the local park for an hour.

DC3 and I will go to the community gardens later as for part of her homework she needs to do a wildlife project. There is a little pond, although we may have missed the frogs but I'm sure we'll find some kind of wildlife for her.

Dinner is homemade meatballs and homemade sauce. I'll do some garlic bread and salad too.

Early night all round, I'm almost a week into (another) cough and of course it's been worse at night so I'm tired.

Its been such a glorious weekend, wish we'd planned things a bit better as I feel like we've spent far too much time indoors. Although downtime is much needed by all.

I'm late to the party so it's a good afternoon from me. tiddlewinks I think you are very stoic.
This morning I met my friend and her daughter for breakfast and her daughter kindly paid. She's a lovely woman. We put the world to rights then I bought a wreath for my front door and a book for dgs2. I'm home now and contemplating a cup of tea. Dinner will be beef olives. Enjoy your day all

Judellie · Yesterday 13:10

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, not seen you or this thread for ages!
Yesterday I was raring to go, nobody else was up but I wanted to be up and out so went for a walk after breakfast, messaged two friends, one was busy but the other was feeling similar to me so finished my walk at Costa and met her there then we went back to mine for a bit for her to see my new carpet and bathroom (had a horrible green carpet in the lounge diner for years and hae moaned anout it to anyone who'd listen but now could finally afford a lovely new grey carpet).
Unusually DD was off so we went for a bike ride (only around 5 miles max but first of the year) then watched Race cross the World (we're only on the second series, no idea why they send thm into danger in Central/South America).
Today I am suffering because of that bike ride! Had to get up and take DS to church/DD to work.
Got back and so shattered I went back to bed for a bit (unheard of). Got up and had sausages, mushrooms, cheese, beetroot and onion as had only had a banana plus a cup of tea DS made me earlier. I did also empty and reload the dishwasher at this point.
Read a bit of my book, played scrabble by myself, put a little bit of washing away. Ate a packet of minstrels I'd won, together with a cup if coffee. Now just reading mumsnet but still tired. I really need to do my exercises as not done them yet. I do know that will help but so tired.
Had to rush my game of scrabble as dh wanted to eat his lunch at the table. Need to pick up DD from work later. Frankly, if anyone wants a Sunday dinner, they'll have to make it themselves.

RudolphTheReindeer · Yesterday 14:42

Busy-ish day here. Well we had a quiet morning with a cuppa in bed. Dh has cut the front lawn before no mow May. A chunk of grass is dead as we had fibre broadband installed recently and they had to dig it up so it looks even messier than usual (I usually leave it to go wild and have seen two new flowers pop up this year I haven't seen before). A wash load has been done and put out, I'm painting the fence but came in for a bit to have lunch. Now about to run the hoover round, do some more painting and dh has popped to the shops and the tip. I've also put together a self care basket for my bedroom. I often go up to bed early then can't be bothered with any self care as the bathroom with all my stuff is downstairs. So I've put some exfoliating gloves, body moisturiser, cleanser, serum, face moisturiser, foot cream, eye masks etc in it for easy access so now I have no excuses.

Ive just unpacked my Sainsbury delivery for the month.
There is something deeply satisfying about filling your cupboards and freezer and knowing you only have to pop out for fresh bits for another month.😁

Hi everyone. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. I was out for drinks last night with the girls in my family and have been rather fragile today. DH got up with the kids and I had a lie in. Then we just spent most of the day pottering about in the garden.

Dropped DS12 to his friends and DH took DS3 to visit his mum. DS8 just played about with his friends. Went to pick DS12 up and his friends lovely family insisted I came in. The parents of the other boys were coming and she insisted I had some tea. Only when I came in I realised she’d actually made loads of food. Of course with me being fragile today I wasn’t up for eating. But I can’t believe how welcoming the family were. The boys just met when they joined big school recently and they are from a different culture so I’m not sure if it was the norm for them.

i didnt stay too long and back home to feed the little two. Have bathed the youngest and he’s sleeping about about to run a bath for the next one. I’ve had a nice shower and am in my pjs. Think I will order a take away and have an early night.

My dad mowed the lawn for me, and put some after cut stuff on it, had a look at the former tennant's (maybe even owners tbh) long neglected rose that has a single, healthy shoot, uprooted a tree stump, and gave me a sander! Very spoiled today! He's suggested cutting the rose right back, new soil, and lots of water! He's offered to come and help me clear an overgrown strip of garden too 😊.

Later on, I sanded and did a first coat on the other side of the conservatory & tried a different configuration of boxes that would normally be in the loft. Don't like it, so it's going back how it was tomorrow after a second coat of paint!

Quick cuppa now, and then bed 💤. I didn't get to my reading, or online shop, or much else this weekend but 🤷‍♀️. There's always the long weekend next week!
