Good Morning Mumsnet! What's Everyone Up To Today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my conservatory spot. Girl cat's ekekek-ing at a wood pigeon in the garden, & I think boy's gone back to bed.

The washer's on for school and work stuff - that'll go on the line since the weather's nice, and last night's tea pots are soaking already.

I have a million and one things I want to do today so we'll see how far I get! I have peg dolls to finish, garden waste to put in the bin, filler to sand, a leavers hoodie to order for dd2, a corner crack to fill, a nip to Lidl for a top up (and to get dd2 out of the house for a walk), and I want to paint at least the short wall in the conservatory. Probably too much for one day but we'll see 🤔.

Dd2 will spend most of the day revising - her Spanish speaking exam is in ten days!! She didn't want to go anywhere or do anything so I'll drag her down every now and again so she definitely has breaks!

Dd1's out and about in London already! She went to a gig in Oxford last night, then straight to queue for Record Store Day exclusive vinyls, and is now waiting for the artists booked to play at the record store. She'll be knackered later 💤.

Later on, we'll make either pizzas or burgers for tea then I'll chill with my book or crochet before an early ish night, so I can carry on tomorrow.

I've just opened my wife's art gallery for the day - I run it at weekends. Mostly consists of posting on here, and selling the odd greetings card.

DD (and BF) are home from Uni, but they didn't surface before we left.

Been trying to sell late MIL house for absolute yonks and it completes on Monday. Was worried all these wars would kybosh everything.

Oh @Elmo230885 we need a new coffee machine, what did you get? A quick recommendation would be fab 🫶

No football fixture this morning so a slow start.

Annual bluebell photoshoot today. We have taken a photo (this is with a DSLR with lenses type of affair) each year of the nippers since first one was born - idea is up to and including the year they are both 18 - first two nipper 1 was alone - last two nipper 2 alone - a full set of 20 - will print out one set for them both one for us (only the best photo of each year gets in.

This is nipper 1’s second to last.

They sometimes complain but it’s non-negotiable
(And then tell their friends when they think you aren’t listening how cool it is)

Good morning @lucysmamand all. It sounds like you have a new cuppa spot and a busy but productive day.
I’m back from my run and a coffee with my running pal. Dh is working, I’m taking ds2 to rugby - last match of the season and I’m looking forward to having my Saturdays back for a couple of months to get some jobs done at home.
Ds is working tonight, so Dh and I will have Thai curry for dinner, maybe go for a walk and a drink if the sun is still shining, then settle down for a couple of episodes of Honeland. We’re on season 6, started from the beginning and completely obsessed!

Good morning all. I've just done the parkrun for the 2nd time in 5 years. Boy, it was hard! My time last week was my slowest ever so I'm hoping I've improved a bit this week otherwise it will be a bit disheartening. It's beautiful sunshine here so I'll get lots of washing on the line. I'm just resting my legs atm! Might pop out somewhere with dd2 this afternoon (dd1 working abroad). Gonna treat myself to a cocktail at Spoons later & see what their specials are on the food

Good morning lucysmam and to u all . I’m sorting washing out and about to clean house and this afternoon my brother in law and his wife are popping in they had sad news about their daughter so they need a change of scenery. I will be popping Nxt door to the cemetery to put flowers on mam and dads stone then chilling tonite with wine and Mayb takeaway . Have a great and safe day all 🫶

Morning all, I'm having a day out in London with the husband, had a lovely brunch and now in Tate Modern to see Tracey Emin, going to see Into the Woods at the Bridge theatre later then dinner after then home and snoooooooze! Big day out

Its from Wayfair, HomCom I think is the brand. I've never had a coffee machine before, not even one like a Tassimo. It grinds beans, has a steamer arm and several buttons I haven't pressed yet!

Hi @lucysmam and everyone else, I’m late to the thread today!

I started the day with an iced coffee on the sofa with the cat, then went off to do parkrun, and got a new PB which I’m delighted with! Came home and did a quick clean of the kitchen just in time for the Tesco delivery. Unpacked that, cleaned the bathroom and cat’s litter tray then went to pick up my niece and nephew, I’m helping DSis out as BIL is away with work. Took them to their swimming lesson, then the library followed by Lego club. Dsis picked them up from there, I came home, did a 45 minute YouTube workout with weights, now I’m on the sofa relaxing.

I have the house to myself as DD is away so I’m planning a cosy evening in front of the tv. I’m making garlic chicken for dinner with mashed sweet potato and tenderstem broccoli, just need to decide what to watch now!
