Help me find somewhere to sit in my cold garden.

I am looking for a clever idea and Google is sending me in circles so I thought I would ask here.

I want somewhere to sit outside and read my book when it is chilly/wet.

I have looked at tents and sheds, I can't afford a conservatory.

It just needs to hold a deck chair with room for me to get in and be waterproof so I can leave the chair outside.

If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful.

I put a metal gazebo in the corner of the garden a couple of years ago, it’s one of the ones with thick solid legs that are bolted into the floor and a Perspex flat roof, it has curtains that can be closed up in windy days to offer protection and is about 3m x 3m so big enough for a sofa and my hammock. It’s my very favourite place. Last autumn I got a chiminea which sits just under it on the outer corner so i can add a little heat when needed (or toast marshmallows) obviously don’t seal up the curtains if that’s lit.

laying in the hammock wrapped up in a big fleece blanket and with a fire going is a wonderful way to down an evening.

I used to have a sort of verandah attached to the back of our old house. Sort of a roof attached to the wall on posts at the front. I put a garden sofa underneath it and grew climbers up the posts . I would sit out there every morning as the sun came up (except in mid winter) as it was the first place on the house that the sun touched, drink my tea and set myself up for the day. I miss that verandah daily.

I put a lean to greenhouse in our back yard, it was great spot in the rain, except the cat took it over, he was old and feisty and got quite protective of the chair….not a sharer. the greenhouse had an outdoor electric point so I could have plugged in an outdoor heat lamp.

the shed at my allotment had a couple of windows and was pleasant in the rain.

A greenhouse

Another vote for a greenhouse. When not in use for "daydreaming" I'd put an airer in there to dry clothes in bad weather. Dual use!

I have a washing line in my polytunnel which I use to dry gloves, and for when the weather is bad and we still need largish things to dry. It really heats up fast so when it is changeable things dry out really fast in there.
