Happy Easter to those who celebrate 🐰!

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in the living room this morning - conservatory's chilly today (def. need to look at a small heater for winter!). Boy cat's watching the rain and cars out the window, girl's probably gone back to bed with dd2. I'll crack open my chocolate bunny shortly, for breakfast - with some fruit and yogurt 😋.

I have the washer on for towels, and need to run some water to soak yesterday's pots 🙈...after cleaning the jug I've used for paint. Towels will probably go in the dryer looking at the weather.

Dd wanted to be up at 9 but has, so far, avoided actually getting up 🤷‍♀️. She wanted to look at her revision plan today & slot in maths topics she's still struggling with.

My plan's not very exciting - I want to carry on with Operation Kitchen BIG CLEAN & paint the door frames - probably just gloss, I think they're too far gone for me to put that much time and effort into a rental to sand them right back or strip them (once upon a time, I would have put the effort in 🤷‍♀️).

Also want to re-house medications somewhere - those, potatoes and onions, and cerals take up an entire cupboard but it's a wasted space really - I have more baking things with no home that would make more sense in there 🤔.

Later on it's probably bacon buttys for tea, to use up the bacon, followed by more chocolate. I'll get my usual Self-Care-Sunday scrubby everything shower, and then paint peg dolls for an hour or two watching The Rookie with dd.

What about all of you? 🐣

Good afternoon, I'm chilling but contemplating sorting my attic room out but also in recovery and protection mode after being ripped to shreds the other day as I wouldn't let a relative bulldozer me.

Making the most of the best day of the weekend to get out in my tiny garden today to tidy and plant things, mainly foxgloves I have nurtured all winter. Also a bit of cooking for tomorrow's family dinner.

Your definition of a lazy morning is about as much as I’m able to do all day 😂 (Just found it funny! Am disabled and I’m always amused by how different we all are, in good ways!) Sounds like an absolutely lovely day. For those of you celebrating Easter, Oestre, wedding anniversaries (congrats @Susiesue61 !), having babies (good luck @BritishDesiGirl - if it’s a boy, get used to uncles calling him beta the minute he’s out 😂 Friend and I were just joking about this last night), and everything else everyone is doing (even if it’s just a mug of tea! Tea is life). I’ve had a headache for about three days and I’m having a really tough time with it. Here’s a photo of my daffodils, as that’s more positive.

Confused by your Uncles comment @FFSToEverythingSince2020 - what do you mean?

It’s a thing desi kids (and British desi kids) deal with; in Indian communities, older men, fathers or uncles by blood or “uncles” in a social manner (friends of your parents), call younger men “beta” as a term of endearment. It’s not related to the term “beta” in English. There are some funny memes about it. I’ve attached one.

Not much here.

Up by 8:30 for my usual cereal breakfast, and then settled down with my coffee.
I did watch the first 20 minutes or so of that drama on Channel 5, 'The Teacher', but I wasn't grabbed, and I don't really like the lead actress anyway. I forget her name, but I always just find her a bit too "earnest" for my liking.

Then had my daily-this-time-of-year poke around in the garden to see what was growing. Things seem to change daily this time of year, so it's fun to see the changes. My lilies are shaping up very nicely, after a pretty dismal showing last summer!

I then went and dyed my hair. It's basically my natural colour anyway, but I feel like a dye job just brightens and freshens it up a bit. It doesn't seem to have "taken" on the greys in my fringe though, but never mind.

After that I had a very contented hour or so with my book and a bag of mini eggs!

No fancy tea around here, jacket potatoes, cheese and a bit of salad!

Next job is to have a sit with my electric back massager. My upper back and right shoulder have been giving me jip.

Hi everyone,

Happy Easter 😊 Chocoloate all round here. Completed some uni work this morning, and then watched a film this afternoon. Looking forward to salmon, potatoes and salad for tea then binge watch 'The summer I turned pretty' and 'Fear the walking dead' lol 😆
