Donnie walberg from new kids on the block. I think I was about 3 or 4 😆 Swiftly then moved on to Mark from take that and Brian from east 17.

Possibly Mel Gibson in the film, Tim, but not sure what age I saw it- later than when it was released. Michael Praed in Robin Hood is a strong contender.

Overtheatlantic · 04/04/2026 17:25

Shawn Cassidy, younger brother of David.

Hotafternoon · 04/04/2026 17:26

Elvis, I was 9. I begged my mum to take me to see his films and as we lived overseas, they were often on at the local cinema so she'd take me and my 7 year old brother who probably didn't like him that much.

That lasted a short while until Davy Jones of the Monkees came along.

Elvis was then history.

Lomonald · 04/04/2026 17:27

Oh Michael Praed 😍 his gorgeous gorgeous hair, he was replaced (boo) by sean connerys son as Robin hood. I can't even remember his name

NovemberMorn · 04/04/2026 17:29

Richard Chamberlain as Dr Kildare.
Then when he played Father Ralph de Bricassart in The Thornbirds, my crush turned into love.

David Bowie. Just the definition of cool. Also Rik Mayall in Blackadder and Jeremy Irons in Brideshead Revisited.

Jordan Knight! ❤️

PermanentTemporary · 04/04/2026 17:35

Gareth Williams from the Welsh rugby team. He was fast, smiley and stocky. I still love a Welsh accent. Closely followed by Davy Jones of the Monkees.

TomatoSandwiches · 04/04/2026 17:37

I had a thing for Big bird on Sesame St as a young child and then Gary Barlow when I was 9 or 10 and then I watched The Bodyguard at 11 or 12 and I wanted to be Whitney Houston and had a crush on Kevin Costner.

batshitaboutcatshit · 04/04/2026 17:38

Clearly drawn to bad boys when I was 7 years old.
