DD10 is playing next door with a friend, adult DD’s are upstairs.
DH is visiting his mum until later so it’s me and the dogs on the sofa. Just ordered a takeaway for us all and have a nice bottle of wine chilling in the fridge.
Whats going on at yours?

Me and DH had a Chinese takeaway then got a Village WhatsApp that a flock of sheep and their lambs had escaped their field and were rampaging the Village and a request for all hands on deck. DH is out there now whilst I'm scrolling MN.

DH is washing up and I'm watching the last ever episode of 'Allo 'Allo (the one with the end of the war).

Chilling at home catching up on Race Across the World. Went to church this morning with youngest then cinema (Magic Faraway Tree) then pub with elder one who is back from uni. Husband has been catching up on work as he's an accountant so busiest time/year end but now he's making us all dinner (fish as is traditional on Good Friday). Son is in his room calling his GF. Daughter in her room watching YouTube on tablet.

Was in the hot-tub drinking champers a bit earlier

I might have an early night. It's been a productive day but I'm exhausted now. I've browsed Netflix and Prime but can't find anything appealing to watch so scrolling on MN.

I know when I get into bed I will feel wide awake again.

We've been out all day visiting relatives, went out for lunch with them, then went for a walk then had tea & cake. As a result I can't actually tell if I'm hungry or not 😕. So I've just tucked into a couple of sandwiches i found in the fridge. OH has gone out for a drink & dd2 (17) is probably gaming in her room. I'm hoping she might keep me company at some point

Popped out to sort out my mum’s cat while she’s away.

Hoping DP has won the battle of bath and bed for toddler DS by the time I get in so we can relax! DS is a bit of a mama’s boy at the moment so it’s hit and miss whether he’ll settle for his dad these days 🫣

We have a rare weekend off together to look forward to, though 🥰

I've been decorating the kitchen this week...on the home straight now with a BIG CLEAN tomorrow/Sunday so went to B&Q early afternoon for hallway, stairs, and landing colour, then back to continue glossing in the kitchen. I'm considering a scroll of Vinted for a cheap, cream, roller blind. Then off to bed so I can carry on tomorrow.

Dd2 tidied her room this aft & has been answering exam questions since. All was going well until her wardrobe collapsed for the second time 🙈, so now we have an Ikea trip planned for Tuesday...least there's cafe & cake for after!

DCats have had their dinner and have retreated to their beds for their post-dinner naps.

DD is upstairs. I'm not sure if she's chatting to her boyfriend or having a nap.

I'm preparing a late dinner (salmon korma). I've chopped all the veg. and I'm just waiting for the oil to heat up, so I can start frying the veg. I bought some lovely flowers earlier - I treat myself every Easter. Once dinner is out of the way, I'll trim the ends of the flowers and put them in a vase.

DH was nicely explaining to the DSs that they need to go to bed early because our flight is early. They were unconvinced. I have just suggested that any one who was not full of the joys of spring tomorrow all day be taken out and shot. Mother is having a joyous family holiday it will go poorly for anyone who grumps.

They have now gone for a shower.

To be fair to them:
DS1 - is quite set in his timings but is also an absolute arse when tired.
DS2 - not sure he needs sleep but he does need to cope with crowds in an airport so needs to be on top form.

@lucysmam Best thing of all, I didn’t even make it. DH is the kitchen maestro around here, although I am in charge of desserts, cakes, etc.

This week’s cous cous was an adaptation of a “Rainbow couscous” that DH makes. Think of every colourful vegetable or fruit that you like that could go in to the couscous - typically we have bell pepper, red onion or spring onion, babycorn, pomegranate, apricot, mange tout or sugar snap peas, and maybe chicken, hot smoked salmon, flash fried steak.

Great for dinner AND a pack up the next day.

Been busy today, not long back home from meeting some friends for a walk and a drink in the pub, dh and ds went to our local football match and they got back at about 7, were watching a film together when I got home. Takeaway was ordered when I got back but I wasn’t fancying it so might do myself some scrambled eggs but equally might not!
just lying on the bed after a shower and contemplating whether or not to just get an early night in anticipation of a busy day tomorrow. Rock and roll!
Dc1 is out at her boyfriends, dc2 is coming back from uni tomorrow, house will be full again and I can’t wait.

Got home to find DS squeaky clean and fast asleep in bed 🥳

DH and I have been doing stuff in the garage for a few hours. We've just come in - we're both in our respective offices playing different games now, but I've got the bath running and will be taking my book in there when it's ready.

Dog walk in the rain this morning. Met some friends for lunch in a pub, had duck, lovely. They picked us up so had a cheeky glass of rose. Haven’t drinked since Christmas. Spent the rest of the afternoon snuggled up on the sofa with partner and dog, watched Rogue One, while I tried to remodel the utility room on AI (total waste of time), and partner snoozed with the dog. Now watching a Few Good Men, Classic.

Just made two lasagnes (one meat, one spinach and ricotta) and a hot cross bun bread and butter pudding for tomorrow’s family lunch. DSS2 is sitting in the couch on his Phone (as always), DSS1 is gaming in his room, DD1 is in he room watching telly and DD2 is staying at her boyfriends en route back to ours from a few days with her uni friends in the Lake District-she will be back tomorrow all being well.

about to go to bed to watch Top Boy on the iPad-I didn’t watch it when it first came out-I’m half way through season 1 of Top Boy after watching Top Boy Summerhouse.

Only getting to sit down now for the 1st time today!!!
Last child only gone to bed - 8mth old fell asleep at 7 and woke at 9. For the day!!😂, left him to it as we have a house full of visitors that all arrived today and staying for the next few days and they entertained him.
