Can I tell you about my bittersweet morning? Epic first world problem.

Today I had a dental appointment followed by a smear test followed by coffee with a colleague I mentor where I had to gently inform him he's on the chopping block.
Awful.

DH said he'd do a deep clean while I was out to make me feel better.
Knowing how much I love it, he even ordered Zoflora to use so the house would smell lovely, and last night was googling the right dilution ratios.
Brilliant.

But he ordered the one Zoflora fragrance that I hate. And then deep cleaned the whole fucking house with it. So every room and every single surface within every room has been doused wiped down with the horrible stuff.
Awful.

My house is gleaming.
Brilliant.

But it stinks.
Awful.

He also put my mountain of gym kit - basically every single gym top I own and most pairs of leggings - in for their monthly wash.
Brilliant.

But slugged a capful of Zoflora in there to get rid of smells and bugs. So not only does my house stink of the horrible stuff, so does all my gym kit.
Awful.

Its such a first world problem but bloody hell. I really needed to share this with someone.

Unfortunate. I had no idea people actually cleaned their houses to this extent with disinfectant though.

If you get a takeaway, your house will stink of curry for weeks so that solves that problem!

Oh this is not remotely our usual level of cleaning. It's usually a quick flick with the duster, quick hoover and done.

This is DH's "deep clean" mode.

Edited to add: The bathroom is properly cleaned every couple of days with disinfectant though.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Honestly I’m just so jealous your husband did a deep clean of the house… but equally… I feel the same about several zoflora fragrances so I also get your pain. It’s the tulip and peach blossom one that made me want to burn the house down after using it 😂

I got a brilliant zoflora toilet cleaner recently, a very satisfying deep purple colour .
I must go back to the disinfectant, now that I’ve been put off the Linen is there one that is especially nice ?

Was it the midnight blooms one? I love that. And the amber and vanilla but I fear that’s been discontinued(?) and replaced with a bit of a poor substitute.

When you started that off I thought you were going to say you you got your smear and dental appointment mixed up and took your knickers off at the dentist 😂😂 Zofloragate was a bit of a let down 😂

@KateBushAgain All the others that I've tried are fine. There are some I like more than others - lemon zing is good, I like midnight blooms, and I'm partial to the cranberry and orange at Christmas. I find country garden and bouquet a bit sickly sweet but they're fine.

It'd be fine if DH had cleaned the house with anything but bloody fresh linen which smells like stale drains.

I couldn't be doing with the Zoflora though, any fragrance; it'd make DH sneeze constantly and that drives me mad.
