Tell me your holiday do’s and don’ts.

first time travelling abroad (lanzarote) with 2 children dd 11 and ds 8. What things can I do to make everything easier and run smoother.

A pack of cards in hand luggage so you can play games at boring moments. Many a whine-fest from DS while travelling has been staved off by a few rounds of Beat Your Neighbour Out of Doors or Go Fish :)
Ditto little games like Taco Cat and Uno.
