What colour are your teeth?

Mine are quite yellow, which I think is fairly normal for the UK.

I never really gave it much thought until a recent visit to a new dentist who was trying to flog teeth whiteners costing several hundred pounds!

I’m mid sixties and can’t see the point. However it has made me a bit self conscious and more aware of how they look.

I’m pretty sure they’re natural and I know it’s nothing to do with my oral hygiene. I’m always very meticulous about this.

So please tell me what colour yours are?

Yellow. It's fine. Getting neurotic about things like teeth looking totally normal is a huge waste of energy in my view.

Mine are white (age 50). I’ve just started using one of the oral b whitening toothpastes and it has helped lift tea stains. Priced at £20 but £10 in Sainsbury’s. Haven’t caused any sensitivity that the awful Colgate blue whitening toothpaste did.

I won a course of teeth whitening from my dentist but binned it as figured it would cause more sensitivity.

My issue is tea staining so an ongoing battle. I have the air cleaning at hygenist too and go every 6 mths, sometimes every 3 if tea stains build up too much.

They are ivory.

I've had them bleached , but that was many years ago before the Turkey Teeth look became popular.

They were beige, some far too short and a chip from old grinding on the bottom. Got them whitened to a mix of B1 and B2 and some bonding work done and I have to say, money well spent!

Mine were yellow so I had them whitened. They’re real teeth so they don’t look like Turkey veneers. They just look like white and healthy natural teeth.

How much is it for whitening at the dentist these days?

Mine cost 400 euro in Dublin. There was enough stuff to top them up another 4 times. Once you have the moulds you can buy the whitener online, i think it's about 50 euro and has 2/3 treatments in it. I used Philips zoom. My teeth were very white when I was young, and even though i always took good care of them they yellowed as i aged, its so nice to get them looking fresh and clean again.

I whitened my teeth 13 years ago and still can’t eat a cold apple from the fridge. My df, a dental technician, told me I was mad and that tooth colour differs like eye colour but would I listen?
