Thought i'd share as im pretty sure people will be shocked.

Im eating leftovers from a Chinese i ordered with a friend on Saturday...its Tuesday.

It was fine and no rice was consumed.

I am now sick to death of chinese food and wont be ordering it again anytime soon!!!

Go on whats for dinner ?

--- reason i think people will be shocked, because ive seen the iconic "pearl clutchers" discuss chinese leftovers previously. Im not unreasonable it was good !!!

I finished Friday’s takeaway curry yesterday (with freshly steamed rice). I regret nothing.

Having char siu pork tonight. The meat has been marinating since yesterday. Will have with rice (we like rice!) and spicy broccoli salad.

At some point, I will also eat a giant Twix. 😁

Do you have a recipe for your spicy broccoli salad? It sounds fab!

My pork steaks or chops are always like shoe leather so stopped cooking them. How do you keep them tender and juicy

I bake them in the oven in a lidded dish, with either a little water or apple juice at the bottom of the dish. Take the lid off 5 minutes before the end of cooking time.

Pork is difficult to keep tender, the pork shoulder steaks are better than the loin steaks. A longer slower cooking time helps.

I once contracted E. coli from eating leftover Chinese food. It took a few years, but I did eventually go back to eating the leftovers!

Tonight I'm having chicken cooked with garlic butter, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. Exactly the same thing I had for my lunch!

Sear the pork in a hot pan 2-3 minutes then braise then in the oven for about 20mins. Especially nice in a cream sauce
