What on earth is going on with my sleep pattern?

I have quiet a good sleep behaviour schedule, eg I don’t eat food late at night, especially foods that are hard to digest, I dont have screen time before bed, etc. Nothing in my life has changed yet over the last month or so I am waking up at 03:00hrs on the dot, so much so its a little spooky. I'll go to sleep again and wake up at 04:20hrs.
I have no idea why.
I'm not waking up to go to the toilet or having bad dreams.
Im not stressed, I exercise.

What is going on?
Im 60 and post menopause.
Even sleeping in different beds hasn't made a difference. I'm on holiday by myself and I still wake up at the same time.

I've read this is down to a cortisol spike. What's going on in your life? Happens to me a lot these days.

Alternatively there may be some external noise that's enough to wake you then stops so you never actively hear it iyswim. I went through a period of always waking at 5.30am then realised it was next door's alarm clock going off when I wasn't deeply asleep.

No idea but I am experiencing something very similar. I have always had a lively body clock so waking at around 6am (when I normally get up) is fine. It is the 3 and 4am wake ups which are destroying me.

I am putting it down to the weather right now.

3am is my wake up time as well, on my bad nights. No idea why!

It used to be 5.30 in our old house (14 years ago). Eventually I realised that was when the first diesel train started up at the station. We lived over a mile away from the station, but due to the configuration of the hills and valleys the sound funneled its way to us very well in the still of the morning.

Theres been no lifestyle change, no stress, im happy with everything. Theres no change of external noise, in fact im on holiday and its stoll happening. It doesn't matter if I go to bed at 21:00hrs or 00:00hrs, is wake up at 3!!
