Has anyone ever managed to talk to someone at UberEats?

Had an issue with an order, reported it straight away. Was promised a refund via the app that never arrived. Every time I try and ask for my refund I get told it is now "outside the window" despite sending screenshots of the message showing the promise of a refund from a few weeks ago. I get nothing on social media or via the app. Email addresses don't work. Any ideas?

Have you tried typing 'Speak to an agent' in the app when you're dealing with support, so it's not just the chat bot auto replying? I've managed to speak to an actual human that way before, but it was a long time ago.

Regardless, as they're not responding, you can request a chargeback from your card issuer. They'll ask for proof that you've exhausted Uber's complaints process, which it sounds like you have.

One last thought - do you have multiple cards linked to your Uber account? They may have issued the refund to the wrong one, or as Uber credit. Worth checking!

Yes and I wouldn’t use them again, way too complicated to get a refund and even then they make odd deductions from it.

I switched to Deliveroo, very easy to get a refund if there’s a problem as long as you take a photo.

They finally responded to say I'll receive a refund but they have said that before. You just can't talk to a person, infuriating.
