I'm off to Rome... let's talk about pasta!

I love pasta I do, any recommendations? Not really looking for jam packed busy restaurants at 8pm. More low key type places during the day or even street food where I can just order a big bowl of delicious ravioli to go. I'm seeing lots of gelato, pizza and cornetto places so I'm covered for that but all online pasta searches seem to only point towards very fancy looking evening restaurants where pasta is the first course option. I'm staying near Trastevere.

It'll be my first time in Italy and I'm rather excited!

This is our must go to when in Rome, it is a very popular place but there’s a reason why. Been there for decades, run by the same Italian family and the pasta is incredible.
if you can get a reservation, grab it!

Just coming on to say the same. The BEST carbonara! If you watch Stanley Tucci, this is one of the places he went to in Rome (and had carbonara)

In Italy pretty much anywhere you go will be good. No self respecting Italian would give you bad pasta.

Even if you go to a touristy spot and pay through the nose it will still be decent

This.

Thanks everyone. I haven't really been looking forward to it since I booked it ages ago but now it's nearly here I am getting really excited!!

I first went to Rome in a very blase way as it was an alternative to going where we had intended to go and that had fallen through. Yeah, ok, Rome'll do.

Pow!

I hope you enjoy it.

Once had a delicious slice of pizza on the street in Rome - topping was potato and rosemary - but you're asking about pasta, so don't bother reading this sentence.
