Neighbour has left keys in the door.

No sign of her after knocking. Would you leave the keys or take them in?

Update. Neighbour is fine so that’s a relief . I just saw her and gave her keys back. She was very grateful. Thanks all.

So where was she and had she realised?!

Weirdly, I see keys in doors all the time. It’s a bit of a running joke in my family. One evening I was out for a walk with the dog and came across three houses with keys in the door. It’s mad. I always knock in though there have been a couple of occasions I’ve had to take the keys and leave a note. I feel like a bit of a guardian angel.

My husband always does it with open garage doors on our estate if we walk past , some people look at him like he’s bonkers when he says do you know you’ve left your garage door open. He would never say it but after 30 years in the police they would be wise to shut the door.
