Agree about Edith Bowman and OJ. Sara Cox can't seem to speak properly at all she's always putting on voices.

John Inverdale has presented the midday Radio 2 programme on occasion. He has made a good fist of it, not up to Jimmy Young's standard but miles better than Jeremy Vine.

Tina for Jeremy I disagree. Tina doesn't seem to listen to the callers and sometimes therefore reacts inappropriately.
I loved Ed Miliband standing in for Jeremy though, years ago. I don't like him particularly, but he was super entertaining as a presenter.

Don’t listen to Radio 2 anymore but I always used to breath a sigh of relief when either Vanessa Feltz or Paddy O’Connell were in instead of Jeremy Vine.

Vanessa Feltz when she covers for anyone! I don’t agree with a lot she says, but bloody hell she sure is eloquent, knowledgeable and steers conversations brilliantly.

Can I add Spooney for Trevor Nelson? I love Trevor Nelson, but feel he’s not right for the cosy, afternoon. He’s a dj, a music expert, rather than a presenter, so would he better for the music- orientated slots.

Totally agree. I had to keep checking the time when he first got the gig cos he just gives such a much later at night feel.
