Clinical advice on private dentistry

My eldest DD went to a Tooth Club yesterday.
On her return she told me that the dentist had put composite bonding on front and bottom teeth as planned.
Alas the bite was affected so the dentist then proceeded to shave off the inside of her front teeth to compensate for the bite problem.

The bite is still not good yet. I will email the dentist but needed some advice before doing so.

I am a bit shocked that healthy enamel was shaved off without any coating/protection.

The cost was huge. She’s only young. I didn’t agree to this but DD wouldn’t back down.

Im nervous about it all - to summarise need advice about healthy enamel now gone & the dentist may take off even more when DD goes back about her bite issue.

I have rang 3 helplines today, no advice so far. Just go round in circles.
